Hey, now that the stash tab sale is here, what are must have tabs to buy?
I have 300 premium currency to spend.

Also, do the tabs (not the content inside) carry over to POE1 and vice versa?

Yes, any tabs that exist in PoE1 - and vice versa - will be instantly usable if you buy them in PoE2. This also applies to all MTX that is present in both games, and any MTX that is only present in one game but is later added to the other will also become usable in both when that happens.

I'll leave recommendations on specific tabs to others, though, I just know the Currency Tab is generally quite useful.

after that it starts getting personal. im a BIG fan of the unique tab, and i do like the new socketables tab. i think essence + deli + ritual are the most skippable, followed by socketables + uniques + waystones

waystones tab has basically infinite map storage, multiple pages per map tier, decent customization. however, vaaling maps can be annoying when they go up or down a tier, it picks the map up into your cursor and you need to get rid of it before you can continute vaaling. workable, but annoying.

p.s. flasks tab exists, i got it just cuz i had the coin for it and it has definitely saved me a lot of hassle, im always providing flasks to friends while leveling.

after those specific tabs have been decided on, you can either convert your existing free tabs into premium ones, OR choose to buy some bigger premium quad tabs. small tabs fill up with 2h weapons pretttty fast so id recommend at last one big tab, other than that its personal preference on your small:big tab ratio. just remember you cant name/color the free tabs, nor can you sell from them

i guess if you are really set on ONE character you dont need gem tab, but with attribute requirements and such, its nice to have a skill gem from every level. can use trade to get them as well

some builds have a rough time with zalmarath but essence drain and contagion should both be relatively easy to land, contagion falls from the sky and essence drain doesnt ever hit the ground or edge of the arena like some other skills

You should be able to aim your skills manually if it's failing to target the boss on its own, otherwise I don't believe there's an explicit lock-on button.

life, mana, cast speed, resistances. then rarity, chaos damage, mana/life per kill. armour/evasion is fine to get in campaign, but its value will diminish as you level up.

amulets can have 1-3 levels of spells, foci can have 1-2 levels of spells, and wands can have 1-4/5 spells, normally you can focus entirely on getting these numbers up, but cast speed and % damage is fine to get until you see levels to the spell you like

essence drain with the witch side of the tree means you can just completely spec into chaos, spell, over time damage on the tree and just get life and resistances on items, ES is nice, but not necessary

come on, I have done lots of campaigns and you can ask anybody else who has some experience, when you play a build that relies on dexterity or strength, so no ES at all for example, but get enough life and resistances on your items you are more than enough tanky

hell, you can finish the campaign with barely any defences at all if your build is strong and you can dodge boss attacks

Nah, tiny amounts of armour and evasion are great too, they diminish as you level but I've used AR/EV chests to level witches, rangers, warriors, monks

Level 40-50 is when you start specializing more, then again for maps

well I don't have any other arguments besides just telling you to give it a try yourself because I am speaking from personal experience

but just the fact that you put armour in the same list as evasion and ES is weird because armour is nowhere nearly as effective as them

if you die in a campaign boss fight you are likely to die to an AOE attack like that Jamanra sword slash

AOE attacks are just way more dangerous in boss fights which makes evasion not very important

you can get around 90 life on items around level 30, with some resistances it makes ES simply unnecessary

life and resists are the highest priority defensive stats, you can start to consider other defenses if you already have the first two

es is not a replacement for life until you can solve in combat recovery

because by default es cannot start recharging unless you havent taken damage for 4 seconds

If yes, then honestly I'd just dive in and learn as you go. IMO build guilds will tend to shortcut learning for you. The first character is your chance to explore and test stuff.

I don't remember the name of the quest. It tells you to go to the hunting grounds, so I go there and it says find the entrance to the village. I've explored the whole map as far as I can tell and I'm only finding entrances to the farmland and the cultist village

get life/resistance on items, increased damage and plus to skills on the weapons, as much flat damage as possible not just on weapons if an attack build

Sure, you can get them from gear as well.

But you can also respec the attribute travel nodes - the ones that let you pick an attribute - if you ever need a bit more of an attribute to socket in another support gem, for instance.

basically, its impossible to have 5 supports on skills granted by items (unless they changed it since i last checked)

Its a long running bug with the NVIDIA driver and the loading screen is a temporary "fix" that reloads the driver instead of just crashing the game like it used to.

If you want to get back to act 3 normal zones, it's a bit convoluted. I think you need to go back to act 3 town and if it's in the past, log out to character select then log back in. I forget the exact steps, but that's a start.

instead of sacred flame you can use a focus with high ES, lightning damage and resistances or a rare scepter with a high spirit, I think focus should be better, no cast on crit then. ingenuity belt is nice in a budget build imo, you need all the damage you can get, so get as much flat damage on rings and gloves as you can afford

POE 2 is extremely flexible -- class choice determines where you start on the passive tree and which ascendency options you have available, but otherwise does not restrict anything. You can also respec almost everything short of your original class choice.

Popular builds this league can be found for almost all classes. If you want to just go with a meta choice, then Amazon or Ranger builds using Lightning Spear are very powerful.

Note, these will likely get heavily nerfed in three weeks with 0.3 though

Here's the thing with selling vs disenchanting rare items

Jonathan is correct in that you NEED to do this in order to use regal orbs in campaign consistently since you won't drop many, but viewers are correct in that you need gold MORE than regal orbs, so at the end of the day they just sell everything

I personally find that less fun than a 50/50 split, where you keep at least one regal orb on hand for some items, and you sell rares to buy items from vendors (these would already have lots of mods hopefully, and can cost 5,000-15,000 gold in campaign)

Nowadays we get a lot more crafting currently in campaign, selling 75% of your rares is probably ideal

carry 10 transmutes and 10 augments on you at all times, pick up the item bases for your build and again look for 75ish life or more, along with a strong ES or EV or Armour prefix OR resistance suffix

Chance to Evade cannot exceed 95%, though you're unlikely to go beyond 80% or so. Additionally, it uses an entropy-based system, meaning that you will inevitably be hit. Energy Shield is effectively a second Life pool, if it's disappearing after one hit it just means that you don't have a lot of it. Armour is only effective against Physical Hits, and is less effective the bigger the hit is.

You get up to 100 Spirit from the campaign by completing the boss encounters in the Freythorn and Azak Bog (Act 1 and 3, then Act 3 Cruel). Outside of that, you'd get it in the same ways as with any character class, by equipping items that grant Spirit, such as a Rare Body Armour or Amulet with the relevant affix, Uniques that do so, or by wielding a Sceptre.

Yes, if you haven't already, killing the boss in the Freythorn will drop an item that you can then use to gain 30 Spirit, and a level 4 Uncut Spirit Gem.

Monk/quarterstaves are fine, like any weapon you'll feel the difference between an upgrade and the one you've been using since level 10

If you want to experiment, notice the nodes on your tree are mostly "attack" related, meaning you can use a crossbow, bow/quiver, or spear. Don't feel locked into one thing.

Restarting as a new class won't take long tho, especially if you left yourself something like a good pair of boots. Always neat seeing stuff you missed too

Utzaal, aggorat, and black chambers should all be fine to reset a few times in order to loot gear off the ground, check vendors, and add a skill point or two.

For his laser spin move, just stop casting/attacking and focus on hiding behind him while he spins. Shouldnt be too bad unless you are far away (tighter radius, less distance to run)

What is your life total? And resistances matter too, you can use socketables and charms for resists once you've swapped a piece or two of gear if you're still lacking

Since the roll range for a focus is one to two all spells, it can be hard to obtain. From the wand and scepter combo that you showed, you have no levels to spells and about 100% damage. If you had one level to spells and 150% damage, I think the difference would be night and day

That doesn't look like it has any sort of leveling instructions. Why only corrosion? Do you have faster attacks or anything on your skeletal warriors? Broken armor from corrosion only applies to physical damage taken so you want something taking advantage of that broken armor.

Last time I played POE 2 Was initial release for a few weeks. Back then once you pick an ascendency you cant pick another. Has this changed since then or will I be stuck on the same acendency I initially chose?

It was changed. But you need to finish the "Lab" accordingly to the points you need - first - 2, second - 4, third - 6 and fourth - 8. Hope this helps.

how does Deadeye "Skills fire an additional projectile" work with something like galvanic shards? specially now that it will shot just one at a time? is it just essentially 2 shots per shot? double damage? or I misunderstand this key passive?
