If you're going for being affected by bleeding as little as possible, the gain charges on kill mod is nice for trash clearing. It won't really help if a boss is inflicting bleeds and there are no adds

I wrote that guide and the reason I recommend all that stuff is that they're all resources you have at your disposal. Feel free to dial knobs up or down depending on how good your gear is. If you feel like your gear is good enough to carry you to a later point where you'll be getting more gold/drops, then it might make sense to stop looting some of the worse items where you are now.

No, any archetype can destroy bosses with the right skills, build and gear. I've had times where I nearly one-shot both phases of Geonor with a Warrior - Perfect Strike tends to do a ton of damage if you have a decent Mace - and destroyed him super quickly with Fire Spells - I forget the exact setup, but Ember Fusillade can do good damage if all projectiles hit one target.

storm lance is the typical single-target combo if you're heavy on projectile scaling

you can also try primal strikes as it applies exposure for free but keep in mind it's melee

funny enough, I remember my first time fighting Geonor with my warrior and I was confused not realizing what I was doing that was taking out huge chunks of his life. Took me a second to realize it was the shield charge ability with stomping ground. Don't ask me how but that thing fucking shredded him. I didn't even attack after that, just used shield charge lol. I was not really. I was a bit squishy but I was screen clearing consistently using Culling Strike with Frenzy Charges. Now I can't generate charges against bosses, and Jamanra has Lightning Resist. I run out of pots before phase 2.

Rod+orb is, unfortunately, a shadow of its former self. It has a built in delay for the damage if the rods aren't activated specifically by lightning arrow.

Also the rods can be chained to far fewer times (six I think?) than before, which means that orb of storms with chain support will actually eat more than a whole rod every attack. That means you're basically losing the whole benefit of chain support OR forced to run scattershot which massively lowers your dps compared to 0.1 without it

You can only have one Mark applied to an enemy at a time by default, the only way I can find to allow you to apply more than one would be via the Deadeye's Called Shots notable.

It slows down a smidge around act 2/3 vs bosses, but speeds up again once you get dark effigy

Contagion + magnified effect + persistence
Essence drain + chain + swift affliction (for trash)
Essence drain + zenith + hourglass (for bosses)
Despair + Decaying hex + inspiration (or the one for more curse aoe if you can handle the cost)
Dark effigy + envenom + arcane tempo

You can use two copies of the same skill gem at the same time

Two essence drain debuffs won't stack, but you can have two on your bar at once. No need to manually move gems around for bosses

i think it was something like 1.1k life, 200 es and just under 500 mana (i had mom)

and i survived with around 200 life

idk if i was at full when i took the hit tho

but its definitely possible

for the act 3 version, cruel is way easier to tank because you can build up a few 1000 es by then

i still wouldnt risk it tho, silverfists attack pattern is very easy to read

Biggest thing I’ve learned playing melee in this game is that most bosses don’t hit you hard if you stay close to them, pick a direction (clockwise or counterclockwise), and always dodge in that direction aiming to end up behind them. Other people might have different experiences but that has been the most widely applicable strat I’ve found. The biggest exception to this that I can think of is Draven.

Yeah most bosses actually feel safer in melee than range... Though one thing I hate is freaking mana drain rares. The donut is sooo small you have no room to even dodge their attacks without going into the drain zone.

Like yeah if you're literally next to them it doesn't hit you, but you don't even have room to doge roll around.

Imo the drain is way too fast. It's weird because it doesn't seem like it but it's honestly one of the most dangerous affixes that rares can have, IMO

A melee enemy with it should have a much slower drain IMO

When an enemy has a drain but they're a fairly static enemy that isn't going to constantly chase you, it feels like a fair mechanic. But when it's on a vaal elite swordsman guy or a wolf dog boar thing that just runs at you 24/7 at a speed that you can't avoid.... It becomes a broken mechanic where all yiu can do is pop 6 mana potions and scramble to try to get mana up enough for just a few attacks. SOMETIMES you can get close but then sometimes the enemy has crap like trail of fire so you can't really survive inside the donut either lol.

Trail of fire or hasted with mana drain aura is sad times lol.

They are unique items because they havw modifiers that are unique to each one of them and that you won't find on any other items. That being said, some are more useful than others

The eventual goal is to have at least one unique variant designed for each item basetype.
They are not there to be 'obviously powerful', but simply as a variant that offer something that may not exists in the usual item modifiers on magic/rare items.
Such unique modifier may not always be useful, sometime its utter trash, sometime its only useful for levelling, sometime its only useful for endgame with tons of investment, etc.

It's also worth noting that "+2% crit chance" is more significant than you're giving credit for. If your weapon has a base crit of 5%, then raising that base to 7% is effectively 40% more crit chance since all your "increased critical strike chance" nodes apply to that base crit.

Eg, if you have a total of 100% increased critical strike chance on the tree, then you'd go from 5% -> 10% without the gloves and 7% -> 14% with the gloves

if you decide to scale ES to like 10k + sub 2 second recharge, then you can go with Eternal Life. I don't really think going this node with shit ES pool is good idea.

After defeating Balbala (I tried in both Act 2 and Act 5), I believe I either forgot to pick up the Djinn Barya quest item or may have accidentally discarded it. As a result, the Trial of Sekhemas portal no longer appears on the Caravan map, and I’m unable to access the trial.

I've tried killing Balbala multiple times again, but she no longer drops the item. I’ve also completed the campaign and moved into the endgame, but I’m stuck with only 2 Ascendancy points, which is a major issue for character progression. Some users on the forum suggested that I now need to beat the Trial Master in the Trial of Chaos to receive the remaining Ascendancy points — which is very punishing given this was not an intentional skip.

The questions you should be asking when picking an ascendancy are:

1. Which ascendancy has the best way to spend my eight ascendancy points?
2. Which class has the most advantageous starting position on the tree for my build?

If the answers differ, you need to weigh the pros and cons of the ascendancy nodes vs the starting position and decide which one wins out.

I have 1 warrior skeleton from my Scepter and i cannot even summon the second free warrior. It states i do not have enough spirit for that.
I have 148/178 spirit left though.
My specter (beetle) does not work either.
The summon raging spirits spirit gem works fine.
Is my character bricket? I tried relogging, reequipping items, but nothing worked.

You need to get another drop, you can't freely swap skills around without getting a new Uncut Gem.

They're random drops, same as regular Uncut Skill Gems, but tend to be rarer. There are also some guaranteed drops in the campaign, such as the one you used from the King in the Mists, as well as one in Act 3.

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you're asking, but:
Debuffs of the same name do not stack. Hitting an enemy with multiple essence drains will not make them do their damage over time debuffs at the same time. It will refresh it

Incidentally, if you're checking out builds, bear in mind that they may be outdated, for version 0.1. There were many significant balance changes in 0.2 that might make the build less than ideal. Additionally, some builds are targeted at the endgame and require certain gear to work well, gear that you may not be able to obtain easily early on.

The fact that you said, "Not really minion focused" worries me. If you're a chaos build, you should have zero investment into minions, ideally.

Contagion + persistence + magnified effect
Essence drain + swift affliction + zenith
Dark effigy + envenom + arcane tempo

If you're investing into any minion damage on the tree or wielding a scepter, those are things that could have gone into more damage for your chaos spells.

Splitting your build's offensive focus typically leaves you with a lot of meh skills instead of a few strong ones.

Even if warrior sucks it's rewarding learning the ins and outs of the character to eventually be able to craft your own builds without issue and know exactly what stat's u want on each piece of gear for specific functions
