Lightning spear itself has big aoe clear. If you mean movement speed then it's mostly movement speed on boots. Rhoa only plays a small role here, it doesn't boosts your speed but prevents movement speed penalties when casting skills.

I'm playing Deadeye Lightning Arrow Ranger and i'm currently in act 3 (i think almost at the final boss). Should i stick with a Dualstring Bow as long as possible or is there a point where the new bows are just so much stronger that it doesn't matter that Dualstring fires an additional arrow?

There will definitely be a point where your current dualstring loses to a much stronger non-dualstring. And there are other bows later on that also fire additional projectiles but they're not called dualstring, so keep an eye out for those.

You should always be on the lookout for bow upgrades. It's hard to stay what dps difference outclasses the extra projectile, but I'd just try them out and see. Extra projectiles don't really help too much in boss fights so I might even go as far as using the dualstring for clearing packs and weapon swap to the higher dps bow for bosses

Let’s say for example that I unequip a ring which has 25% fire res, it will immediately update and show the new value of fire res that I have. This focus I just bought has 31% cold res, but when I equip it the cold res value on the character page stays the same.

Also, I have a wand which has +3 level of all chaos spell skills, but when I hover over my chaos spells, it only says they have +1 level from global modifiers. 🤔

I'd say path if building is the best way to see if you need accuracy. The gem panel can tell you if you have 100% accuracy vs things in 2m. If that's not 100%, I'd get enough accuracy to get it to 100%. Your accuracy gets exponentially lower as enemy distance increases

you not having enough spirit for other spirit buffs makes it sound like youre copying an endgame build too, not a leaguestarter

im guessing one of the buffs you dont have enough spirit for is cast on crit with snipers mark?

and youd need very high crit chance (so high investment) for that to be effective

self cast snipers mark also works, but you still need fairly high crit chance for it to be consistent enough for frenzy charge generation

That's a unique strongbox so it may be corrupted by default. Applying corruption to an item when it is generated is something that POE has been doing for a while. So for instance if you drop a corrupted item it may get an awesome implicit mod it wouldn't normally have.

What are you looking for in upgrades? Are you picking up blue items also? Are you checking vendors when you level up for decent blues or even white bases to craft on? Are you salvaging/disenchanting/selling items for resources?

I disenchant every item I don't use (i.e. not for my 3 characters or just trash mods).

I get 1 EX about every 5 real days.

The little upgrades I've found have been exclusively off the trade site.

For now my warrior is able to progress smoothly but my currency is essentially non-existent.

I am deliberately avoiding using my orbs due to how scarce they are. I know I Will need them in endgame, right now they most I'm willing to use are Augs & Transmutes

Like most things in POE. It doesn't exist in a vacuum. There are some useful things for it that I'm sure could be a part of a solid build. I'd love to try pin with bone shrapnel explosions. It gives more spirit. All depends what your build needs and what you're after.

Ok so, I'm playing Mercenary with a High Velocity Rounds slotted with a Lacerate support gem, with passives that increase bleed chance, and yet I never trigger Blood Loss, which from what I understand, supposed to be an indicator on a monster's HP bar, why? I wanna trigger this skill with said HVRs but there's no change in the monster's HP when I inflict bleeding on it

Does elemental damage deal damage or it just stacks up elemental effect?
Like lets say mob has 0 resistances, will 150 physical damage weapon deal same damage as 100 phys + 50 fire?

Elemental damage does deal damage. Assuming no defences on the enemy, and no modifiers on the player to increase only a specific type of damage, they would deal the same amount of damage.

However, weapons can roll with %increased Physical damage, Leech is most commonly specific to Physical damage, and Blacksmith's Whetstones only affect the Physical damage on the weapon, so it tends to be a good idea to aim for Physical damage rather than the Elemental affixes.

I'm 90% sure that one specifies 'with Attacks', meaning that it's a global mod, meaning that it doesn't change the weapon damage directly but instead adds to your other damage increases.

Yeah I think the percent elemental increase is just additive with other increases like from the passive tree. So it's a much weaker boost than things like + flat ele damage or %physical which applies to the weapon directly (which then gets multiplied with all the increases from passive tree and such)

Not to my knowledge. It's ultimately RNG, so you may just be unlucky this time around. On some characters, I can end up drowning in support gems, whereas others I barely find any, so it's perfectly normal.

I'm very sorry to say that you're fucked. I've seen this reported at least three times before. If you drop the barya without going to the trial of the sekhema zone, you're locked out of doing it on that character.

You can try having another player tp you to the trial zone, but I haven't seen that work either

if you dropped it recently, go back to the zone where you dropped it and see if it's still there

but if it gets dropped and the zone resets, you're completely screwed

you can either:

1. make a new character
2. Ascend using only the trial of chaos
3. Wait until GGG fixes it. Maybe. Hopefully.

That's a very vague question and tricky to fully answer. It highly depends on the current meta and there is no easy way to know everything and you must learn from experience.

That said, white heavy belts and white stellar amulets, as well as certain other white items, so called bases, often fetch a quick and easy buck since they can turn into something real valuable when applying a chance orb.

Get a loot filter, it will highlight a great variety of items, if something is highlighted in a special color for example there is a chance that it might be valuable.

Another handy trick is to join the forbidden trove discord. When you look into the various trading channels you will soon notice certain patterns in terms of which items get offered frequently.

Leagues are like d4 seasons. after a league ends, all the characters get rolled over to standard. Hey folks I have a general question for the campaign, I've found that I struggle on bosses where I don't really do enough damage and my survivability is low, but I can easily rinse through standard mobs.

What are my options here when I have exhausted my gold gambling for better gear and have very little currency for trade.

I am following a build but even with their tips, I find that I just don't do enough single target damage to deal with some bosses like the guy in the Foundry and in the Ascendancy trials

Be a loot goblin and take 2 hours to clear a map

Re do maps that are fast to kill a boss

I like doing red valve since it’s straight forward

And about being able to survive, kinda gotta get the rhythm of the bosses to dodge

here's the very important bits : a "build" consist of 3 core elements:

• passive tree
• gem combination
• gears
  any of these aspect is insufficient, you will be weaker.
  I have to say this because there are a lot of new players that think build is just the passive tree alone...
  bad gear = bad result
  you can farm previous area endlessly simply by creating new instance (ctrl+click waypoint), don't ignore magic items (blue), otherwise you will be throwing away so many chances of good items

You can always out level the trials. There is no reason you have to do it immediately. Just keep progressing the campaign, then come back when you are +X level above the zone (and X depends on your char and build)

A follow up question, if you mean "rinse through standard mobs" do you strictly mean white mobs or also yellow mobs? Because, if you rinse through all mobs (yellows included) you should not struggle with bosses. If you are already struggling with yellow mobs and you are following a guide. You have to look at your char (like people already pointed out) but you also have to take a hard look at the guide. Maybe look at other guides for the same build/abbility you are playing and check what they did.

No need to be end game to farm red valve, it’s one of the first zones you go to. Just clears and do another instances

Remember that each time you enter a zone it deletes in 15 mins approx

it's very strong because you can get a lot of it on gear and on the tree, and it blocks almost all damage types

if you get CI it blocks all damage types

compared to evasion and armour it's pretty wild

Technically there are four. Standard Softcore is very old and the prices are inflated like crazy. Also it has far fewer people so Trading is more annoying.

Dawn of the hunt Softcore is newer, more active, and has less absurd prices because there's a lot less currency in the pool.

There are also hardcore versions of each which are far less active and generally more stable since they have items that actually leave the economy through player death.

I can't tell you which LS build version is the best, usually it's hard to pinpoint exactly and versions of the same meta builds will greatly overlap but all I can say is if you want to use tame beast then go for it. You don't need to 100% follow the meta builds all the time.

Important is you understand how your build works, then you can tinker with it and adjust it to your personal liking.

This game has so many variables and ways to play that it can be incredibly hard to find a metric as even as simple as "single target dps" because two people following the exact same build can have wildly different dps depending on their gear, which you'll never be able to replicate 100%

For me, I can't brew builds myself. I've tried. I tried playing POE1 without any guides and it was humbling.

I'd definitely recommend this approach, I got stuck into playing the meta builds in PoE1 and it drained most of the fun from the game. In PoE2, I just do whatever (and mainly just run campaign over and over, since I enjoy it more than maps) and tend to have a better time, since I enjoy having a bit of challenge.

oh yea, in poe2 the gear has been tough to learn also. After a while, everything kinda looks the same in my head. I would suspect it's RNG. I've had very few uniques dropping at some times, then way too many in others. It could also be that you have less increased Rarity than the last time you played.

then sort by dps

ideally buy an uncorrupted rare spear and put two elemental damage runes on it

in term or armor / accessories - by act 3 I probably looking at something like

• 50 life at the least
• 20%+ one resist at the very least
• 15% to 20% movespeed on boot must have
• socket them to put resist runes
  pickup all drop even blue ones and identify them for usable modifiers
