Then it's probably not worth using. In general, Uniques aren't automatically better than Rares in PoE, so unless the Unique item does something that's beneficial or synergistic with your build, a decent Rare will be able to outperform it.

Which is something I should've clarified in my own post, it's not just Pain Attunement that can be inspected, it's any underlined keyword that appears on items, skills, passive skills and basically any tooltip.

That might be better, not 100% sure but it seems better. Be sure to use two artificer orbs on it and then slot in some lightning runes. And use blacksmith whetstones on it to get to 20% quality

You have a lot of options. Generic attack damage. Attack speed. Accuracy if your chance to hit is less than 100%. Ailment nodes (to increase chance/effect of shock). There is a cluster of crossbow specific nodes. And you probably want to take some kind of defensive nodes depending on how you're building the character.

There are a lot of ways to build.

Didn't just do this like two hours ago? The servers have been having some issues. And wired would be better than wireless.

This game has so many clientside calculations it needs to check with the server that CPU latency can actually appear as internet latency. Lockstep mode essentially doesn't let anything happen on your client until the server approves of it. It means you get less desync, but if your CPU is chugging, it appears as latency spikes.

Predictive mode lets you act on the client with zero input delay and then check back with the server every now and then to make sure you're still where it thinks you are. It means you don't experience large "lag" spikes due to processing limitations nor any input delay, but it does mean that you can occasionally get deysnced from the server and have to rubberbanded back into place if you're unlucky

Predictive mode might help, but not nearly as much as a wired connection, yeah

A quick question: I killed the boss of Act 2 Trial and also died at the same time (most likely because of one of the afflictions ). My freebie repeatable Djinn Barya is spent as technically I've completed the trial, so I can't retry and even do throwaway runs to farm relics. It was only my 2nd time using the token too at level 31 😢 So if I do the Act 3 Trial for the first time without doing the Act 2 Trial first, how many ascendancy points I'll get, 2 or 4?

There is no set in stone sequence. It depends on your build. If I went lich essence drain, I would have gone the curse branch first, then, if I had zero ES, I would have gone the ES cost + damage node. And if I had a dope jewel, I would then go phylactery. If I had a way to generate power charges, I'd go the consume power charge node

But I, personally, have no interest in those ES nodes that lich has

If you follow the advice in there you should have no problems. Geonor also does a lot of cold damage, so aim for sapphire rings and cold res runes to give you more of an edge

In 0.1 I cleared zones with ice shot and generated frenzy charges with combat frenzy, then froze tough mobs/bosses, put down tornado shots, used barrage, and used an Uber-barraged snipe to basically one-shot most bosses while they were frozen

And that was on chronomancer

Barrage consumes the frenzy charges to add repeats to snipe. A tornado shot behind the enemy means that projectiles pierce the boss, go into the tornado, and get shot back into it

Just wanted to post this in case anyone else struggles with finding the "reset passive tree" free use thing as I did: it's going to be at the top right of the passive tree page, but under the search bar. Yeah, later on you only get t3 supports (which can be cut into any tier, so those would work fine for you) so the market gets saturated and it gets pointless to trade for the T1s and t2s

For passive points, you'll end up with 24 bonus points which is equal to the weapon set points you have in the upper right of the tree. If you see 24 weapon set points, you've got all the passives.

For other bonuses, gotta scour the world map for any incomplete permanent bonus icons, unfortunately

In general, spells get about 10% or more base damage per level. And that's multiplicative with stuff like your increases, cast speed, etc.

But +1 level might lose to a weapon with very high inc cast speed and/or inc damage

If they were each 10% more damage, you'd have 1.1 x 1.1 x 1.1 = 33.1% more damage
