there is a benefit to using certain types of weapons for classes, like the wands or staffs for sorcerer... but thats due to the placement on the passive tree that the class is

theoretically, you could start as a warrior, and as you level build out toward the sorcerer part of the passive tree to get those bonuses

so sorcerer for example will have access to more easily obtainable passives like intellect stat points, and elemental damage ect

but a warrior can build to that

i just got an uncut support gem lvl 2 but im not sure what to craft since the guide im following doesnt seem to use any lvl 2, only 1 and 3...any input?

I'll give you an example. Several builds have been using wands and casting spells but doing so on a Ranger for the Deadeye ascendancy. Deadeye gives bonuses to projectiles and many spells use projectiles.

What do you mean by a frost build? How's your cold resistance? He does a lot of cold damage. What skills and support gems are you using? If you've been at it for hours your build could probably use some work.

While dying for hours can sometimes be fun, the best way to make progress if you're failing is to go kill other mobs or earlier bosses.

You'll gain loot and levels to make the next fight easier. Focus on cold resistance for geonor as that's his damage type. You can get up to 75% cold resist before you reach the maximum and you're probably in the 10s right now.

It's not that, it's that they believe that the choice of ascendancy should be a major one and not something you can just swap around. If you want to play with another ascendancy, you make another character and do so.

You just need another Distilled Emotion, you should be able to use the Currency Exchange to get a cheap one if you have none. In 0.2, they'll make it so that you can't even close that UI while items are inside.

Characters aren't bound to any specific gateway or realm, you can log in from any gateway and get the same characters.

I'm not certain how exactly it's handled on the console versions, if that's what you're playing on, but generally you can just select your gateway from the menu and you will log in through the chosen gateway and play on it. Characters aren't bound to gateway in any kind, so the only reason I could see for you staying in the wrong gateway is if you've entered a map that was already made with another gateway. Try entering a fresh zone or map and see if you're still in the wrong gateway.

Better is subjective. POE2 is also incomplete. Both will be free to play once POE2 hits 1.0, so you can try them both. They also share purchases in many cases.

POE1 has ten years of content. POE2 plays somewhat differently and handles many of the core mechanics in a new way.

That was a different issue. The full PC freeze was to do with Windows 11 24H2 and some specific function they adjusted, which sorted out the crash.

One is the new league with an economy reset, the other one is the older league with the last 3 months worth of characters and economy. It's better to start fresh.

And in general you cannot move between leagues.
