So POE2 specifically is very much about finding ways to set things up for big damage and knock em down. For example, on my sorceress I took frost wall and used support gems to make it break more easily and freeze enemies more effectively. I used that to freeze and explode enemies, even bosses, and while frozen I'd have other skills with support gems that were all about doing big heavy hits.

Early on i killed everything by stacking solar orb, placing flame walls, and firing projectile spells through the flame wall to enhance their damage. Gotta use those skill interactions.

No, even after, armor and evasion are two completely different defensive layers. Has nothing to do with resists.

I think generally speaking you can get more mileage out of a wand and focus instead of a staff, but neither of those staffs are too too bad. Tree seems straightforward. Lightning focused. So use more lightning spells.

Use something to inflict lightning ailments (shock and electrocute) if you aren't already.

Can someone help me understand why I can't use a skill on my staff? I have an earthbound voltaic staff with lightning bolt and spark lvl 4. You can look up a lot of "fast levelling" builds with twink gear that will do the job. A common pick is just using lightning arrow, lightning rod, and orb of storms on all classes.

Even buying some white bases and hitting them with transmutation and augmentation orbs might give you something better. You want a much better physical damage roll. This can also be helped with artificers orbs and runes.

It uses your weapon damage, so yes, the more damage your weapon deals, the better. Explosive Grenade specifically converts 80% of Physical to Fire, iirc, so that's why it deals mostly Fire damage by default.

You would need to hit with Physical damage in order to Bleed. Freezing Shards only deals Cold damage by default.

If you're using a skill that converts physical to an element, then the iron runes might be the best way to get more damage of that element (if the weapon does enough physical damage)

I am no expert hahahaha, orb of storms and Lightning Rod helped me a lot, specially with bosses. But now I'm basically using Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod. Herald of Thunder is huge too

Precisely. By using scattershot you lower your damage and attack speed with rod. With orb of storms + chain, your orb fires a beam that chains about ten times whenever you attack. So if you're spamming rods, they're basically all used up immediately, which gives you the maximum damage with no leftover rods

One thing that I noticed on my char is that using Orb of Storms required me many points of int that I was missing in dex after act 3 cruel. That's why I dropped it... Now that I have enough level my int is high enough to use cast on shock and Orb of Storms, bu I preffer to play without the orbs

rod+orb is better for single target dps than arrow+rod thats why people generally use orb+rod for bosses..... arrow is generally only used for clear utilizing heralds

I think you can hold alt and see the tags for mods. I don't think there's a catalyst for all resists, you may have to use a xoph catalyst for fire res, etc. And you can only have one catalyst type on an item.

Usually you get problems at act 1 and act 2

From act 3 and beyond your build should be somewhat decent to smack everything

Avoid random afflictions like the plague and try not to route yourself into having few/no options for rooms
