I don't know anyone who would recommend a thorn build to a beginner because, by default, you can only reflect melee hits against you, I think. You need certain unique items to be able to thorns stuff like projectiles. And lots of other uniques to buff thorns because the default mod pool doesn't offer much support.

I have some question about Electric ranger:

1- Should I put Electric Damage Rune on my bow or rather put Physical Damage to boost shock, electrocute and skills damage ?

2- I used passives to raise my Electrocute Built Up by 50%. Will this be enough to procs electrocute or did I have to put a specific skill or add a support gem ?

3- I dropped my Widowhail (164%) in favor of a crafted bow with +2 level to arrow skill. Having a Quiver with +# level to arrow skill will be enough of an incentive to switch back or should I concentrate on Rare bow ? What should I look for on the Quiver ?

so when you use a vaal orb on an item it corrupts it , which can let it keep the same stats , or change the stats (sometimes to waaaaaay higher than you can expect) or add things like extra sockets etc or just brick and ruin the item

but the corrupted item you find on the ground are basically useless

Evasion good for like a monk. Lots of movement. I'm loving this game so far. Try to constantly circle the outside ring and you'll dodge him pretty easily. If you do get stuck, try to learn the timing to dodge roll. He'll talk and then dash across around a second after he stops talking.

Most of the stuff outside the circle is pretty telegraphed. Only other advice I can give is for the attack that calls down beams, try to play towards the bottom of the circle. Found it easier to see everywhere I could move up if needed.

Unless you were literally chucking darts at a dart board to determine where to put passive points (or want to switch archetypes entirely), you shouldn't need to respec the whole tree.

I had issues with frost/ice sorc until i got coldsnap. Then used freezing shards from staff as a 0mana cost skill to trigger freezes on bosses.

That's my easy mode campaign setup if you get too frustrated and just want to try a really strong combo

During boss encounters and against tough rare enemies use Frost Wall to help with your single target damage. use. This Skill creates a wall of Ice Crystals which block enemies movement. When the Ice Crystals are shattered they cause an explosion dealing massive damage around them. When the target is big enough Ice Crystals detonate automatically simply by monsters running through them. In other situations use Frostbolt, Frost Bomb and secondary Comet to destroy the them.

not really.
You can see it starts small (shockwave totem example) and as the level gets higher it actually ramps up in cost.
By the time you are nearing 20s, it starts getting 9% more expensive every level. So if you had a lvl 18 gem and got +7 lvls to skills it would more than double the cost (108 -> 240)

You want to be keeping your weapon updated as frequently as possible. Check vendors every level to see if theres anything better. They are a great source for good weapons

Also acts 1-3 are just difficult and its common to feel like damage sucks in those

what i mean is.... does the mana cost for those 7 levels go upp by 85? because if its +12% 7 times, you actually double the mana cost at 5.8 levels... which is a big deal when it doesnt come with general elveling up bonuses right?

12% was for a different skill. that one goes up by 9% each time after lvl 20 to the looks of it. It varies per level. The issue being that lvl is the best way to scale shockwave totem so you will be getting a VERY high lvl for that skill on most builds that use it. Which is then multiplied by support gem costs etc

Hideouts can be obtained in the endgame system. They will show up sometimes as nodes on the atlas screen

You can also get them from supporter packs

They are like your own private town. You can decorate them, move things around, etc. You open endgame maps from the map device in them, and have vendors + your stash in them.

No, it's useless in single target unless you have something that reapplied consumed freezes. Unleash is mostly for using in packs of frozen enemies. The repeats will pick new frozen targets

it simply casts it twice. I believe it does not consume the freeze on an enemy twice. But its great for packs cause the explosion can freeze other enemies and then the second cast detonates those
