Heya, im currently in act 2 cruel and im playing a grenadier build with a gemling mercenary
i want to slowly transition to a different build, ideally using a staff or similar, i saw online there is an attribute stacking build that used staves, primarily "Pillar of the caged god" and i need advice on how to build towards/transition towards it.

Do i need to get the weapon first? can i hunt for it specifically? how do i get enough gold to basically reset my entire skilltree? and do i need to wait until after the campaign to transition?

Yes anything you pick up, but it is split drops with your friend unless you as the leader change the loot settings

Oh i played on steamdeck during the first week because i was out on holidays, I dont think its quite there for non uled steam decks

If it's an attack build, make sure youre upgrading your weapon wherever possible and prioritize getting resistances and life on most of your other gear.

Normally, no. Currency is currency and you need the ex to split amongst multiple of your needs. Invest in Q20 gems and then add 2 jewel slots to them. It's just the community that tends to be toxic and if someone doesn't accept your ex, just block that person and move on. There are plenty of terrible people about and not enough daylight for those that deserve it

This question is hard to answer properly without seeing the weapons or knowing what skill you're using. In general, if a skill converts 100% physical to elemental, then flat physical damage on the weapon is equal in value to flat damage of that element.

%increased elemental damage on a weapon can also be significant if the weapon has low base physical damage but added elemental damage.
