depends on which demo of players.... new players likely will follow a build as its a pretty in depth game if your completely new..... the more experienced players are more likely to feel comfortable playing around making their own..... also time availability plays a role as some people dont have the time to theory craft when they have limited playtime

you probly want to stack up evasion/es on monk. if you have an exalt you can maybe look into trading for a ghostwrith which will give you quite a bit of ES for now

I can only imagine the reason why gas arrow sucks for me is that somehow you need to aim it at the ground for it to make a gas cloud. As I am on controller you dont have such option, and it points at the enemy, literally shooting the arrow at him doesnt create a cloud. I see no other reason why 50% of my shots give no cloud, but would love a confirmation

Hey guys, i just refunded about 13 passives and my Dex dropped much lower than I expected. I had 217 Dex and of the 13 passives refunded, only 2 were attribute nodes that gave 5 dex each. The rest were projectile damage, yet my dex dropped to 166. I dont have any passive that pumps dex based on projectile damage, or any damage for that matter, so im really confused on what caused the drop.

Unearth cant find the target on many occassions, gas arrow issue is (I think) that the controller decides for you whether to hit the ground or the opponent. Which is an issue you get more often, not having a choice and it deciding the opponent.

Two reasons it works:

First, since Mind Over Matter makes 100% of damage taken from mana before life, you don't need more than 1 life for it to work.

Second, energy shield you get from converting other resources isn't converted by EB. Usually builds using both UB and CI use Everlasting Gaze, or maybe Ghostwrithe, and the ES those give will not be converted by EB.

The problem is greater is way, way more expensive than lesser. Also you can't quality corrupted ones. In the end I think getting the 5th support through corruption is probably a lot more expensive on average than buying a perfect jeweller's, especially if you want quality too

Gamble, check vendors every level, pick up white/blue items and add mods via transmutes/augments, pick up and sell basically everything so you can afford gambles.

My priority is:
0. ID all your items for free at the hooded one and Check if the item is an upgrade. If so, equip/keep it.

1. Disenchant rares with six mods for 2 regal shards
2. Salvage items with two sockets for artificer shards
3. Sell remaining rares for gold
4. Salvage normal/magic items with sockets/quality
5. Sell remaining items for gold
