Hi, any advice for me if I am getting outscaled in later parts of an act? I started act 3 super strong at level 33 with a very strong weapon but right now I am level 44 while finishing act 3 soon and I am getting outscaled as I haven't been getting any good weapons nor any exalted orbs. I think for monk evasion+armour is good, or armour.
The problem with evasion is that its limited, idk how much, but you can't go past some point. Like do not matter 70% 95% - both case you waste precious points on stacking evasion, which could go better way, and still have a 30% or 5% chance to get oneshoted easily, because you didn't kill thing fast enough or because u didnt get better defences with those points.

After watching the video on evasion, I think it'd be better if i went for the physical damage reduction since that now means, I'll evade some hits, take some which will do less damage, and if I get resistance on my gear, I shouldn't take too much damage. My planned tree also takes CI but my energy shield is gonna be times 3.5 so if I get hit it should recharge quickly and shouldn't kill me. I'd stack armour but not many good nodes on monk side so I'm think evasion + energy shield, idk tho. Plus ima be doing tons of damage with lightning monk so hopefully it should work

BTW, if you go full evasion with "Protect from harm" you can probably get not the worst numbers on armour and evasion both too. Some luck+some actual defense. But you need a lot of evasion and its probably much later in game.

there is also can be 3rd mixed mods with flast and % which make it higher, but it will take place of spirit.

Many builds that want to have say 1 skill get more stun and maybe another skill focus on damage for example.

My cold sorc could allocate a freeze setup in weaponslot 1 and full damage for coldsnap in weaponset 2.
If i was FORCED to allocate weaponset nodes, they prevent you from allocating normal points after them, which would get really fucking annoying as you cant really use weaponset points for pathing

I havent looked at support skills, but theres practically zero support on tree for damage from strength. Just one that gives accuracy per str and one for 1% damage per 15 str. I theory crafted a gemling legionare that could get ~700str on a super high investment, giving that class +2800 life and 700 accuracy rating, but it only got 46% inc damage from it so damage might be super weak unless theres more str interactions in skillgems.

Question is the secondary weapon (that i never use to attack with ) has "Fire exposure" on armor break, more fire damage on armor break. My question is, do I need to be breaking the armor with that weapon to get the fire exposure or can it just be on my back

You're looking specifically for Energy Shield armor if you only use int. Armor will always require strength, Evasion requires Dexterity

It largely depends on your build. If you’re Warrior, it’s easier to get Armour for example. Generally Ranger has a ton of Evasion bonuses in their side of the tree.

Sorc has a bunch of ES stuff, so I’d recommend going for Armor/ES or Evasion/ES bases.

There isn’t a lot of defences on the tree in general in PoE 2. But for Sorc it’s almost entirely ES stuff so you’re better off leaning into that

You can use an Augment Orb on it to add another Affix, then use a Regal Orb to make it a rare and add a modifier, then you could Exalt Orb it to add up to 3 more modifiers. I would just Augment it until you find a replacement
