I think increase rarity gear drop stat is bugged, ive been getting so many rares and just got a unique in act 1

4 choices:

1. Save them for an alt character (all characters share the same stash)
2. Trade them via the trade site for additional currency items (even bad uniques seem to be selling for ~1exalt last I checked)
3. Disenchant them for a shard of a Chance orb. Chance orbs generate uniques in Poe2, so if you get enough shards you can use the chance orb to try and generate the unique you want.
4. Sell it. Gold is always useful.

There are items you can find called "Jewels" that you can socket into those nodes on the tree. Since you can use curency on them, they can provide a wide variety of stats/bonuses, like any other node. They seem to be a pretty rare drop at the moment.

Permanent allocation: Loot is greyed out for those it didn't drop for.

Short Allocation: Same as above, but becomes free for all after a few seconds.

Free for all: Loot drops able to be picked up by everyone.

You can change the mode in game settings.

There is no instanced loot options like some other games. This is to balance it for a trade economy most likely, so that you don't get more loot out of specific areas that require resources to enter etc..

In poe2, Conversion only uses the %increases of the resulting damage type. So no phys% is used. Just your flat physical damage converted to fire, then effected by increased fire%.

If you have flat lightning dmg with attacks from something (bow, gloves, ring, quiver) it will also go with the gas arrow hit maybe, and then that tiny bit will scale

The gas-arrow attack can deal any kind of damage, and can be increased by things like a ring/gloves that add flat damage of various elements.
The gas clowd itself (Which the arrow creates) will only be inflicting Poison, which will only deal Chaos damage based off of the Physical damage of the attack.
The explosion I'm a little less clear on, but SHOULD also get the added lightning damage/etc, but it converts all the physical damage to Fire, so the primary damage type there should be fire.

I basically tip-toed lol. The second i saw an enemy at the edge of the screen i was looking around for who could jump me. Would run or roll back the second anything moved lol. That place got my blood pumping. Especially since the shield carriers were basically immune to front damage

That SHOULD work that way, and I've got theoreis about a build that utilizes it, but that is using your WHOLE Ascendency just to achieve that affect, and I feel that you could get a lot more damage/benefits from an ascendency class in other ways.

You can likely buy some twink levelling gear off players or craft some yourself on the character that got to post-campaign though, and use it to blast a new character through campaign. Stuff thats equippable early but potentially powerful, like some levelling uniques etc.

Freezing shards -> build up freeze on enemy without using mana.
Coldsnap w/ unleash support -> blasts a frozen enemy, consuming the freeze for massive damage. Will 1shot white and blue mobs sometimes.

you can get a lot of life from gear.
Recoup is fine, but not super great without investment into them. If you plan to take them id say invest into it more. Otherwise ignore it. Im going chronomancer and intend to reach 100% life recoup over 3 seconds (default is 8s) which I think will be very strong with some Energy shield on top to aid against 1shots. But this is like overinvesting into the mechanic for a pay off that probably isn't worth it. I just think it sounds cool

Uncut gems are random drops from mobs (including the spirit gems) I'm unaware of any guaretneed drops except for the Act 1 boss. Just keep farming content you can clear, and you should be able to get it.

If it did count, they should be able to go back to town and continue.

If that's too hard for your build, or you don't find it fun, you can Ascend in Act 3 instead.

You'll need to ascend 4 times in total for your full build, so it's giving you a player choice as to which content you enjoy so that you don't have to run things you don't find fun.

They're just referring to similar systems in poe1. Honor is just a new mechanic for the 'Trial of Sekhmet' in act 2.

The Sekhima's trial in Act 2 is one way of ascending. In order to do so, you have to complete a dungeon without losing all of your "Honor" which is a secondary Hitpoint system, essentially. Get hit too many times, and you fail. This is referred to by the community as "Sanctum" after a similar mechanic in path of exile 1.

Act 3 has an alternate method of ascending, "Ultimatum" (once again a path of exile 1 name) which gives you a bunch of MUCH HARDER combat trials you have to survive, while constantly recieving various debuffs.

poe1 had those sanctum/ultimatum as side mechanics.
Sanctum (trials of the sekima) is like a mini-roguelite with permanent life loss (honour) and boons/afflictions that provide benefits and negatives for the rest of the run. You need to complete the first floor to ascend at first.

Ultimatum is a series of negative choices that compound on eachother, with the goal being "take the reward now and leave or increase the reward further at risk of losing it all".

You recieve your first coin during Act 2 which allows you infiinite attempts to try and clear the first Sekhemas trial.
I bleieve you recieve a 2nd coin during Act2 Cruel which works the same way, and gets you the 2nd 2 points (but I don't actually know, not there yet.)
All future coins are acquired randomly from mob drops, and CAN (if they allow you into floors 3 and 4) give you your remaining points.

So if you only complete 1 floor, you only get the 2 starter points.
If you re-clear 1 floor, you still only have the 2 starter points.

But if you clear floor 1 AND floor 2, you'll have 4 points. etc.

Clearing multiple floors in a single run are more difficult (significantly) and clearing all 4 floors in a single run is something I personally won't be attempting till I'm like level ~80

if using spells, consider a staff skill to apply freeze/shock/ignite whatever. They have 0 mana cost, and i feel are practically required without some insane mana recovery investment if you don't want to run out during boss fights
