mostly because the nodes around your starting area are armour related and you will be using a lot of strength, where hybrid (armour/eva) or evasion bases will have dexterity requirements you are unlikely to fulfill

this doesnt mean you could never go evasion on warrior, it's just less typical

Bosses do drop higher quality gear but that doesn't mean that it's better for you or your build, what build are you running? Take burning spirits and try using bonestorm for bosses

This game is only a few days old so its hard to say but lightning arrow deadeye is a classic poe1 build and goes all evasion and hp if I am not wrong. Lightning strike however is a totally diff build idk how feasible it is in this game so that might go different.

Correct. On your passive tree and on items, especially weapons, you will find many sources of stats like "% increased elemental damage" or "% of damage as extra lightning damage" and those do benefit your damage

Yeah nope attributes provide small bonuses but are mostly just there to meet requirements for gems and gear. If it's like POE1, there will be some attribute stacking builds that require certain gear. Some skills scale off of specific things and you need to pay attention to the difference between attacks and spells.

You can mouse over stats to see what they give.

Recoup is recovering damage taken over time, yep. Usually over 4 seconds I think. Different from regen or leech. You can punch any of those terms into the search bar. Though I think leech will be mostly for attacks, not spells. Not sure what you're playing.

100, which people don't reach in POE1 because it's just not worth the grind and if your build isn't working by 90, it's not going to work. And there's something called an atlas. Randomly generated dungeons that you customize in difficulty and with side mechanics which have their own skill trees so you can do the things you enjoy.

Exactly that. So you can have two weapon sets that also modify your tree when you switch. So you can have a cold and a lightning weapon set, some passives for each, and assign skills to one or the other so you swap automatically.

I think you can make it so that you are unable to progress withlut at least fixing a few things, but compared to poe1 ix say its much easier to avoid that or resolve it. Also there is respec for gold at the hooded one.

• Act 1 boss, needed to figure out skill gem combos to do meaningful amounts of damage.
• Act 2, didnt have any good gear. Needed to farm areas i could do a tiny bit until i got a staff with 2 decent mods that picked up my damage again. I think rng can really fuck you atm..
• act 3 midway boss, first mechanic i saw that wasnt 100% dodgeable and 1 shot me. Needed more fire res.
