Might be a build issue. Generally try to keep upgrading your weapon. You can usually find something alright at Vendors and then use Crafting Materials to upgrade them. Increased Physical Damage is usually very good

it was, but it also let me experiment with gems. i started orb spark, added in a skeleton archer/warrior in offhand for distractions and the gas explosions ,then as things gort harder, added in ED contaigen for more dense grouped enemies. then after i mainly used SRS/fire wall and ED for bosses cause i could run around...... act 1 final boss took me like 20 tries, ended up basically rerolling entirely to fire damage, this is my loadout atm.

By default it only shoots a bolt out every 3.5s or so, if you stand in the circle and spam a fast lightning skill like spark it will shoot them out as often as you do. Range is good too.

You will summon one of 4 spirits per totem you have up, You can get duplicates.
Spirit with horn: Will blow the horn buffing you for about 10 seconds granting 10% attack speed and rage on hit, will then smack stuff with the horn
Witch spirit: Will shoot at enemies and spawn ground aoes
Monkey: Will dash around and leap slam (maybe try the moving causes shockwaves support)
Turtle: Will give an aura buffing defense and block chance by 25% and will bite at enemies
I would not reccomend going Spirits unless you are investing in totems. Im not sure if they buff minions or not, I saw my archers start glowing like they had rage stacks so its possible but more testing will need to be done.

Always start with resistances, get as close to cap as possible. That will be huge. Armor stat will mitigate physical damage. (Or evasion to dodge physical damage).

Prioritize resistances on the gear that you find, otherwise you pick up the right base items (armor/evasion/ES), add quality if desired (I recommend saving quality for later items), then transmute + augment. If it’s good you regal, then you can add exalts or roll chaos. (Probably don’t have a lot of chaos or exalts).

More options at endgame but being act 2 you are pretty limited to what I outlined above. Aside from lucky essences of course.

Yep. You better just go further, more chances to drop the similar awards from progression, then doing side quest(its also accumulate with progression by acts, so double profits). But if you low damage/money and can't progress well its a good thing to go to.
And you can repeat them as many as you want as i know
