in general I agree with you. the main limitation i've found with monk is that it's a melee that's almost required to be stationary in the 20's range to do relevant damage. and boss fights don't really work with that style

it can handle trash by using some ranged skills. low dmg on them but it can manage. but those on bosses just don't do adequate amounts

yeah it can be pretty harsh, recommend the moment you start getting socketed gear drops to salvage the bad ones and use the crafting mats to socket your good gear. Good resistances from socketed gems makes the game play a lot smoother

monk i do think will end up playing a build around either contagion + siphon, or an ignite build with how close it is to witch and sorcerer. rather than staff skills.

staffs did extremely well in the first act. but the reliance on tempst flurry and how immobile that is to scale damage is a problem i think. but may scale pretty well. on account of chayula and invoker ascendencies being so strong stat line wise.

One thing I would like is to be able to manually toggle weapons, and have skills change to match the current weapon. An example, I would like to be able to have two weapon sets such as a 2H Hammer, and a 1H Mace + Shield.

When I have the 2H Hammer selected, my LMB skill is the default attack for that weapon, and the RMB skill is Execute.

When I have the 1H Mace + Shield selected, my LMB skill is the default attack for that weapon, and the RMB skill is Raise Shield.

@nimble nimbus titan took 3 tries. he's easier as melee it feels like. just leave during his three hits on the ground, and roll dodge around the rest. can follow him around the arena when he's spraying the red stuffs. . . just keep an eye on add spawns after 50% or so, those are the most dangerous part

ya get used to and learn crafting. . . also pick up blues/yellows and sell to get gold. you can gamble any item slot with any stat alighnment (es, evasion, evasion + es etc.). and it seems to roll on the higher end of what that item slot has available. which looks to be every 10 levels or so? went from a 16 staff to a 28. maybe was a 24 in there idk. but gambling got me a fairly solid one

Enemy resist fire? Use cold abilities.

Not sure about the other classes but at least the Sorc seems fairly adaptable on the fly unlike in a game where Grim Dawn where a enemy with high resists could be really tough to take down
