This is happening for me as well. In a party, killed Jamanra, The Risen King. Party leader got credit for the quest, I did not. I can't progress to the next quest (literally the entire rest of the game). I have tried logging, restarting checkpoint, everything. Boss shows as dead on the map and won't respawn for me. Running through the map again has Asala "open" the already opened gates, but no boss spawns.

Is there any way to completely abandon the quest? Anything?

I think I get it, you want to use them on nodes that you only want for a specific weapon. So you can switch to that weapon and gain the benefits

Monk question. Is there anyway to make tempest bell targetable with auto attacks with left click? For example if I set the auto attack OR a melee skill to left click, tempest bell isn't targetable. I hotkeyed everything to my mouse and I have to use the shift key to direct auto attacks onto it. You can't seem to highlight it with a mouseover like other enemies. It seems to work with RIGHT CLICK and other hot keys, but not left click.

is party scaling normal? We just completed Act I and find it too easy. We had maybe 3-4 bosses where we died max. 2x.
In general some bosses just melt and some are a challenge but not really that much.

Is this normal for a party size of 3 people? And if yes, will the scaling be harder after the acts?
Or is the campaign just not intended to be played with 3 people?

ALSO, I personally found a lot of utility in writing a theme for my char, then I make build decisions for how this person would live in this wold:

As she regains her powers, she discovers the ability to allow her spiderlings to feed from her, empowering their many talents

My previous response about a boss fight, but the mentality in general:

...I can almost guarantee you that all bosses except for maybe the last boss in the story are going to be face tankable to some degree at some level. So what you can do is always over level to the point where you at least comfortable enough to tank whatever is killing you, if that's still an issue then what I would recommend is treating this game like you would Monster Hunter world if you've ever played that. And that game you would look at the bosses weaknesses and attack types and then make a build directly for that fight.

Now Path of Exile is going to be different in that regard but what you should do is still use that same mindset but also add to that that I think if you are dying repeatedly then this means that there's a hole in your build. So instead of creating an entirely new build for the boss you're going to have to try and patch that hole in your build and you might get to a point where it's not possible to patch that hole and if you did well either respec your character or if you ascended then you might just have to start all fresh

If you’re looking for something viable as in finishing campaign you can probably get away with it - depending on the build. End game might be more worrisome for optimization.
