I'm struggling a little bit with monk in boss fights and need some help. Killing palm and and stagering palm is best triggered on smaller mobs. Some bosses do not spawn smaller mobs so I resort the long range ice attacks to poke and then vaulting impact to get stun bar, then finally staggering palm to stun and normal attacks.
Is this the monk life going to be?

if you are level 5+ with that weapon, look at the vendors in town and keep checking for better weapons - they'll be expensive so try not to waste gold

No. Weapons aren't passive stat sticks. If you assign a skill to that weapon set with the bow that gives faster bolt speed, then it will apply with that skill and weapon.

First time Playing PoE and starting with poe 2 now and i have a question about "getting new Weapons"
I watched a lot of Beginner tipps and everyone seem to talk about "get a new weapon frequently" "Craft something new every few level" but i have this Weapon since lvl 3 and it still seems to be better then lvl 14 Weapons on my level when they don't roll the "+2 Level to Fire Spells"
What are my options to get a better weapon? I never saw any weapon with extra levels on the merchant again

Use killing palm to cull enemies. That gives you 1 power charge. Youll see it float around the character. You can have 3 max. They disappear if not used in like 20-30 seconds. They make your lightning attack way way way way better

I'm new to arpgs and to poe2 but looking to dive in. I always select classes based on playstyle.
I like classes that have good mobility/escape and generally are self sufficient, but can still burst hard when needed.
On classic wow for example I play a druid. In gw2 engineer.
What class would you recommend for that playstyle? I'm leaning towards ranger atm, but monk or merc also looks fun.
