If you have a skill that says "Converts x% physical damage to x% lightning damage", is it more beneficial to stack phys, lightning, or both?
Question 2:
When something says "Lightning Damage" does it count as "Elemental Damage", "Spell Damage", or both?

question 1, currently not very well known, but apparently some conversion math has been changed, so if youre converting its better to stack lightining apparently with the new math.

50 phys + 50 lightning, if you have both 100% for phys and lightning, they are both increased to 100 damage.

no that way. A gem that says "spell" that deals lightning damage will get damage from all 3 of those. lightning damage, elemental damage and spell damage. but a spell that does fire damage wont get damage from lightning damage but will get damage from elemental and spell damage.
a skill that says "attack" and it does ligtning damage, will get damage from lightning damage and elemental damage but not from the spell damage.

Nothing will get deleted, but EA characters will go to their own league. Aka "a big farm upstate where they can run around", because then you can make new characters in the challenge leagues that get introduced, and probably never touch them again

PoE is a game of fresh starts and new characters, the real progress is learning how the systems work so your next character can be better/cooler/faster

Talking without bias (I have like 2.5k hours in d4 and just started poe1 1 months ago), D4 is very polished and has very good visual design. The designers have some neat/nifty touches in map. The campaigns have some amazing cutscenes, but there is no endgame and they are still figuring out things like loot and progression 1 year into the game. I wish I had found out about poe earlier.

I watch to much of arpg vid recently that the famous red shirt guy came to my youtube recommendation

there is a scaling dungeon of sorts (grift if you played d3, I didnt so idk) and the only thing you can probably consider and achievement is clearing high levels of it. And this season (league) they released a new class with a lot of bugs that a majority of the playerbase including myself cleared the highest possible level.

It is fun and I really liked it but I think I just liked the genre the more I think about it. I was more of souls player and just tried this game earlier this year. I bought it at launch because a friend peer pressured me and he quit halfway thru campaign

Now that I have a PC, I plan on trying last epoch a few months later.

Playstyle wise merc, monk, ranger. From what I've read so far, I am leaning towards invoker, witchhunter and deadeye. The simpler ascendancies.

I am an extreme meta slave in D4 btw, I also usually get to max level (pretty easy in D4) on day 1 or 2 and then I use the meta char to farm and source/fund my fun projects

That's an ascendancy class, the boxes are just labels that show you what each numbered node grants. You gain ascendancy points by taking on challenging trials as you level, and you'd eventually be able to allocate half of the nodes pictured

Should i just play through the campaign and ask questions when I'm at endgame or are there things i should look out for during the campaign.

Two more questions sorry but how much of my 1000 currency should i save for stash tabs and which ones should I get.

Lastly is crafting worth it during the campaign or should i save that for after I'm done with the campaign.

if you play games like this before. you'll store materials until you hit a point where you struggle to progress. and wil use them to overcome that obstacle and power up then.

Wait for a stash tab sale to buy tabs, then get Currency, Map, and at least one premium tab so you can sell stuff. I also quite like the div card tab and fragment tab.

gotta know hwo much evasion at any level gives what %, how different stats work out. what the uniques are to put those in. plan out the entire tree likely using a base from poe1.

they may even have a version accessible to them already but I wouldn't put my money on it

just take some time and look at it in the morning. give yourself a basic path and just go with it. it's not as restrictive to respec nodes in poe2 than poe1 by the looks of it (depending on gold rarity)

with the exception of you can't change ascendencies (reason i'll likely have 2 monks)

often nodes that are good for leveling aren't as important in endgame buidls (if it's similar to poe1) anyway.

Reminds me of my first char where I was following the maxroll/palsteron TR totem build and I think I asked why I am even picking master surgeon. Pathfinder has master surgeon from poe1 but with no downside and the node that leads to it give syou 50% more charges. We keep looking at damage multipliers but IF at all this game is hard early acts and its a struggle to survive, this is gonna be super good imo

so far in poe1 its been additive. D4 has some strange multiplicative things indicated by the sign before the modifier.

Login using the email and password from the first step

We're not 100% sure which of the stash tabs will be super important in poe 2. But safe to say Currency, Map, and Premium tabs will still be your best picks

For premium you could just choose the "upgrade to premium" tabs to save some money
