Starting point yes. But not the tree itself
As the person I replied to said.
any info about game size?
Witch and sorc both start in the int section.
Both could potentially take minion passives
https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Passive_skill_tree
Read the section on "passive tree variations"
The passive skill tree allows the player to use passive skill points to allocate passive skills. The passive skill tree is composed of travel nodes, small passive skills, notables, and keystones. Passive skill points are earned by levelling up and completing quests. In total you can get up to 122 passive skill points.
Guess I missed that in the interview.
But how big is the starting area.
Also what if you want to make sorc with minions
Should have made it choice nodes like stat travel nodes
starting nodes won't make or break your build
Yet in his explanation players won't take a certain node because it has something on it that is undesired. So if you want to play minion sorc you effectively are "forced" to take spell DMG or energy shield/mana
Or just stats of course
does it matter which website i buy the EA from? (eg: steam vs the PoE website)
no
Well GGG gets more money if steam isn't taking a cut, but you get into the EA either way
can someone give me technical advice? i want to try poe2 but dont know my pc can handle it
they have the system requirement out
oh realy?
Yup. It really had "this is why we can't have nice things" vibe to it. 🥲
how?
thx, i always find it hard to read, the pc i have is borrowd from a friend, these are my stats
it's not like the devs are saying 'you can't play minions on sorcersess'
you're more than fine
It may not be perfect graphics, but that will be plenty to run the game
And perfect is a strong word there, you'll be fine
Without this change, sorc would maybe have early notable that says "15% spell damage, 15% minion damage". Now it's more likely to be only the spell damage. You can still make minion sorc but you won't have the convenient node that you could've had.
Because of human illogical behavior.
that's my plan, thank you
in context of armour break?
Am i mis hearing this. Spec damage, dodge, use "life pod"?
No im listening to someone inthink he ment a node with regen AND armojr or something
What do u thunk the thirth one said there ks.. he was advising what to go for first when making a build
there's this
Can't you just link what you listened to?
oh if it's early game tip then he probably just meant going for this notable as warrior
Bekijk deze video 'POE2 chatting - !starforge !nordvpn' via https://www.twitch.tv/ben_/v/2316706562?sr=a&t=9205s
ben_ went live on Twitch. Catch up on their Path of Exile 2 VOD now.
From 2:33:15
It lasts like 10 seconds
"life pot", potion
no you press button 1....
early game is basic
and yeah, get that notable I showed. Early regen feels great in poe2 to save your life potions for emergencies
Thanks for the tip!
And answer
Ah yes really gotta get used to not instantly regaining flask anymore
Thats gonma cause me some hiccups
Hey folks! I just bought the early access supporter pack.
Finished my first run of PoE 1 this week and decided to jump right in. This game is quite something, feelsl like I could live there forever by the amount of content it appears to have.
Anyway - I wonder if you had any advice for the best way to spend my $30 in the store!
I know people mostly talk about tabs, but I see there are quite a few different types of tags. There is also a "unique collection" thing that grabbed my attention.
Don't buy any tabs that aren't on sale. And imo wait to buy tabs until we know for sure which tabs are useful in poe2.
Tabs will carry over from poe1, but not tabs that don't exist in poe2 (like blight I assume).
But yes you will for sure want a bunch of tabs.
Guy, need help. If I want to play Poe with a friend - how will story saves work? For example im joining his world and we start from first town. We clear act 1. Then I leave - will my world have same progression (cleared act 1 with all waypoints and quests) or I will have nothing and this means you need to.run whole.tbing again alone?...
@meager thistle what about this unique collection thingy - do you have it by any chance? it seemed like a good cost/benefit since it would probably fit much more than a single tab as it fits 1 of every unique in the game (at least this is what I understood about it)
progression is shared
What are power charges?
Sorry I don't know what that is, but I'm sure someone else will help you out
In poe2 it's essentially just a buff that some skills consume to gain additional effects
and id assume to gain one it depends on a skill right
like certain skills give power charges?
@meager thistle here it is - just if you're curious about it. thanks 🙏
I'd say a currency and premium are a safe bet
The unique tab is nice for collecting, but it's really not actually that effective in terms of trading/storing. You can't store multiple of the common unique items, and the vacant spots for the super rare stuff is essentially wasted. I love having one, but it's for hoarding/collecting, not strictly for the utility in game.
Ohh that's what you meant. I have this and it's pretty nice.
is the preload on #old-game-news only for standalone client? so no news for steam or epic?
No news for steam and epic, correct
I'm hopeful for a steam preload, but we won't hear anything until they have something definite to say.
Folks - how does the tabs work in regards to seasons?
When I have a character A in season A and a new season comes out so I create a character B.
Does B have all of their tabs empty since they can't access previous seasons stuff? Are character A tabs merged into the "eternal season" tabs? (that seems complex and unlikely)
I'm wondering about the unique collection thing I mentioned before. How exactly would collecting happen - if it needs to be season-by-season so there is a time limit. If there is anyway to collect across seasons, etc.
items in tabs are shared across all characters in a given league
the way to collect "across seasons" is standard league
new leagues start with completely empty stashes
standard league is basically an ongoing league that keeps getting new league content as it goes?
when a league ends, your league tabs get moved to standard as 'remove only' tabs
I noticed when playing now I got access to tons of things that were at some point league specific stuff
ohhh
got it
when a league ends, it's mechanic may or may not get added to standard
Anyone know if a enemy dieing with a dot counts as it expiring for the purpose of effect on things expiring ?
Csn you explode your own grenades by walking over them
pretty sure grenades have a duration, not a trigger
Grenades detonate after a certain amount of time
Ah yes 🙂
You get a skill that you can shoot to detonate them
Hey, does POE/2 have a lot of FOMO when it comes to MTX?
Are cosmetics available permanently in the shop?
in poe, there's supporter packs, league challenges, and battle pass that don't return
How long do supporter packs stay?
Until the current league is over?
there's league supporter packs and core (yearly) supporter packs
league ones last for the league
Have a question regarding party play that my group brought up. They suggested making two characters on launch, one we play together in a group and one we play solo. I'd love to just stick with one character to get to end game ASAP though. Any feedback/suggestions on how we should go about this?
there is level downscaling
The cosmetics are so over the top and cool 😭
Thank you!
So say I play more on my character after group logs off and level up lets say maybe 5-10 levels above them, will I be just walking through their area effortlessely?
not with level downscaling
So me being a higher level will be dowscaled to their levels or the level of monsters in that area?
yes
And all POE1 cosmetics carry over to POE2?
most of them, yes
Except for stash tabs, right?
those will
every mtx, unless said content isn't in the other game
like if there's and mtx for a skill in poe1 that isn't in poe2, it won't transfer
only thing missing will be certain missing stash tabs from previous leagues, guild & guild mtx, and certain consmetic wher ethe type isnt in the game (poe2 doesnt launch with swords in ea, so no sword cosmetic atm)
not all cosmetics will be in 2 at ea launch, but should all be in at full release
Are there currently no core supporter packs?
there are
there are no league packs (at least for poe2), the things you see are core
Aren't those two from the current league?
those are league packs, yeah
For more information, please visit https://www.pathofexile.com/purchase
I don't see those, though?
you need to look at the settlers of kalguur league announcement video
for the league packs
What would the downsides be of using leap slam as main skill. Not joking just looks cool but idk
Csnt dodge out of it that may be 1?
as a damaging skill? i don't know how it'll be in poe2. doesn't look like it's mostly used for movement
So it sounds ok?
But ut kinda stuck in 1 pattern right
No leap slam cancelin inguess
idk
Is there a specific reason evertone leans to maces for melee
Hardly ever hear quarter staff come up
Or axe
just because most melee skills call for maces currently
warrior is associated with maces
but a decent bunch of ppl theorycraft quarterstaff builds too
Okay thanks a lot zemor that clears it up
I have an issue with steam purchase of this game is there someone from the devs on here that can help me?
No devs here, but i have also purchased it from steam so i may be able to help
Whats the issue
I purchased the game the 30 dollar one on steam then i changed my mind i refunded it from steam in order to use the money to buy more expensive version of the game to get the cosmetics n what not and i find out by doing that my account is locked now
i cant even play poe1
im new to the game
Ah i see.
there was the option to upgrade into the higher packges instead of refund/repurchase.
but for that, you would need to talk to GGG directly.
I would vist here: https://www.pathofexile.com/support
thank you
no worries
Could someone describe to me what a good melee build should contain and why
I have only experience with the other sides of tree lack of experience w melee
For example why does stun seem to be so integral. Etc
I get the sufficient aoe part, leap slams/shield charge, but aside from that i have no idea what a decent melee build should contain. What do u focus on
strike melee or slam melee? they tend to be a bit different
for strike melee characters i like: high attack speed, good recovery of any form (ideally multiple), additional strikes, some kind of splash where applicable
hey guys ive never played poe before but i played lost ark diablo and last epoch before so im pretty familiar with this kind of games and im planning to buy the early access is it worth to get the 60$ pack or the base one is just as good
the difference is cosmetics, thats up to you
the base pack has enough points to buy the necessary stash tabs during a sale
so the 300 extra doesnt make that much of a difference?
if you stick long term with the game youll likely want some more stash tabs
depends how you value your money ig
there's nothing you can buy that affects gameplay besides stash tabs
and 300 is enough for the recommended tabs in poe1
Tbh is kind of all depends on the skill as ayman said. But the fundamentals are to build damage that scales with the skills you want to use, and build layers of defences. We really don't know what kind of deeper mechanics are available in poe 2 compared to poe 1. But for instance, something like a standard build in poe 1 would include something like
- Scaling damage like phys, fire, lightning, etc
- Ailments/Debuffs that you might want like Impale
- Aoe enhancers like extra proj or melee splash
- Elemental Resistances (usually just received through gear)
- Spell Suppression/Block/
- Increases to your base defence like armour/evasion/ES
- Keystones that can define the build
that's basically like, the surface level of it
A lot of this could change in poe 2. For now, I wouldn't try to put anything together. Even the mega sweat vets are just kind of outlining the skills they might want to use. That's about as far as we can go right now
Thanks! Why does there seem to be so much focus around stun for melee?
Both stun immunity and ability to stun
Some skills in poe 1, like boneshatter, do extra damage to stunned enemies. But even just as a baseline, melee characters have to be more in the face of enemies compared to ranged and spellcasters. So just having stun is a good way to make sure you're not constantly getting smacked in the face when you're attacking
what is the difference between a heavy stun and a regular stun ?
Basically just a much longer stagger than a regular stun
useful for bosses as a melee phys version of freeze/electrocute
I believe some skills also do more damage to heavily stunned enemies
ok cool are they both effected by the same multiplayers for example if something reduced the enemy stun threshold would that effect both?
Not really sure on that tbh
guys i cant finish quest 3 on act 1 anyone help?
nono poe2 correct
the game isn't even playable yet
Sweeeeeet Caroliiiine!
link?
NObody did "Bom bom booom" 😦
like, source that this is actually true?
NDA, can't talk about it!
Anyone with access probably isn't on this discord.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/s/e8jBo8FX1A
Can judge if you think it is real yourself :)
well, if @wary jungle is in that, then it seems to be under NDA
phew dont get yourself banned so quick
finnish have only 1 player in NBA that im aware
LMFAO
sir NDA is a Non Disclosure Agreement, means you cant speak of or share any info about whatever is the object of the NDA
sometimes you're not even supposed to share that it's happening
so to avoid losing your account, better keep it quiet if this is for real
well considering i have no clue what ur talking about i should be fine then 🤷♂️
if you truly have access to poe2 right now, I would try to err on the safe side and not talk about it imo
You should take a video mousing over the whole skill tree and post it to YouTube, easy million views!
/s
i couldnt (free english lessons: this was completely wrong, should be wouldnt be able to*) handle that kind of fame, i think my most watched video is 10k views or so
The trick is to asmongold clips complaining about something then prove him wrong ;)
I think Im gonna play another class... NOT.
lol, that was also pinned on d4 discord and worlds first butcher 1 shot
how is this related to poe2
well it started with me not being able to resist myself joking around after seeing "poe2 campaign help" channel
Was talking about his videos, but fair enough.
If you want the link to Poe specific, content creator that is potentially actually in the beta :)
very generous of you to label me as a content creator 😂 thanx anyway! 😛
also sadly i do not have any access, im eating my nails itching to get my hands on the game
will poe 2 early access free for everyone or it will be a closed beta ?
Is there a text channel in this Discord to report PoE 2 bugs?
no, because we're not affiliated with the devs. Bug reports go onto the PoE forums
or i think there's an in-game chat command as well
yeah /bug [description here]
Do you get a mystery box for finishing the campagin with a settlers league character?
only on Necro settler league also wrong channel
Damn, also thanks
also not for finishing campaign but for reaching level 50
ty. I did the normal league lmao
in Necro Settler league
Realistically, how hard would it be to play STR stacker but with DEX gear?
I'm worried that stat reqs might be too high
wtf is necro settlers
like 3.24?
OH
its an event, okay
i didnt realize there was a gauntlet rn
if youre going in all on the strength archetype why swap defense to evasion
im sure you can do it but you'd have to lose something else for it
Because i'm playing Flicker Strike
Sadly PoE 2 has less build variety than PoE 1
Everything is somehow gatekept or restricted
I can barely move anywhere
whats this information based on 😭
That's just how i feel, i tried to make about 8 builds now and it just doesn't work
Because of "class identity" and "weapon identity"
You either play monk and flicker strike or you will suck
Same with earthshatter and warrior
You can go witch earthshatter, sure, but they made everything in their power to make it as miserable as possible
Which i don't understand
or ranger flicker strike, or Merc Flicker
because youre making things based on incomplete knowledge idk what to tell you here
wait for the actual game
FLicker strike is bound to Quarterstaff that is the only restriction
with Stat choice travel nodes it is easier to wear other gear
When going for anything but Monk for Flicker Strike
You lose like 10 points on the tree
It's worse than it was in PoE 1
Or you fill it with other stuff like you did in PoE1
They could've at least added a keystone, jewel or whatever that allows you to start from different points of the tree
I'm not ranting or anything, it's just how i feel about it currently, it's extremely hard to do anything but the stuff that is intended
just wait for Magefist putting out the best Flikerstrike build 😄
lots of testing required. as I said.
literally 80% of content is not fully known
It reminds of the interview with Sean Murray (No Man's Sky) when they asked him if there's multiplayer. He just grinned and say "Umm.... Y-yeeeah? Sure! There is!"
Same with endless possibilities in PoE 2
"Can we do that?"
GGG - "Of course!"
Then i open the tree, check everything and... well
Nope.
We don't have the tree ...
We have like 70% of it
Let it go. They've made up their mind lol
which might have changed anyway
travelnodes?
Let's add a 20 more nodes
In there
So i lose another 500% of my power
On the way

Too many travelnotes from class to class
Way too many.
This is basically a "You either play this class or forget it"
bro complaining about a fake tree for a game thats not even out with unknown mechanics

dont like that pathing? dont path there. are you fucking stupid lol
is there a way to get live support of ggg my account has been locked 😦
Yeah, but here you can actually take stuff on the way
Go in different directions
BROOO NOO YOU DONT GET IT THEY HAVE TO TAKE THAT EXACT PATH BECAUSE OF UNKNOWN REASONS AND GAME SUCKS
which you can in PoE2 too
This is all shit
Do you understand?
No space for play
For imagination
I have to get to the end point and waste 10 points on my way
For nothing
Just because i don't want to play as a stupid monk but want to play flicker strike
I mean it is your choice to start in the int section tho
because you are too involved and probably burned out
I just want to play Flicker Strike, which apparently is a monk skill (which makes fantasy-wise no sense to me)
it is a quarterstaff skill
i hate abusing anonymity on the internet to be a hater but you might be the dumbest mf alive, intentionally choosing inefficient pathing then complaining about its inefficiency is incredible brain work
Which also makes no sense
It has always been a sword skill to me
Since forever
99% of people played it with a sword
Now it's a quarterstaff (dumbest weapon in the game) skill
Out of nowhere
PoE2 is not PoE1 ...
I get that, but why gatekeep skills like this
A little gatekeep is okay, but not to this extend
literally everyone can pick up the quarterstaff for Flickerstrike.
why cant i fire tornado shot out of a sword 😦
will it be optimal? no
You can't pick the nodes you need for Flircker Strike without wasting billion points
That's the problem.
You want to start as Witch ...
you could play Flicker with element conversion going up the witch side
then going over to Quarterstaff nodes
there is many options
there are Power charge nodes in the Witch tree
pick those and then go over
or whatever
Oh wait, so you are a warrior and you want to play Flicker Strike?
Good luck mate.
50 points and you can play Flicker Strike as a Warrior
Fullfil your damn fantasiese mate
no regrets. you respec at npc in towns
Gold, same as in Settlers league
so you pick generic melee skills in the warior tree for the build?
That's why i'm talking about it, i don't understand this decision and why noone else is pointing it out
I'm not mad, i'm frustrated.
I hate monk. I really do. But i love Flicker Strike.
take a break and have a look once the EA is out.
if you still feel it is bad you can provide feedback
maybe they even put a quarterstaff node in the witch tree
I will try to make it work, but if i end up being WAAAAAAAY weaker than Monk, just because of the passive tree, i will make a 3 hour video about it and a huge ass reddit post
you hate a class thats not even out i dont get it!!! if your goal is a certain skill how could it matter what class it is on
how could you have so much hatred for something we dont even understand yet
Flicker Strike is "related" to Monk
For some magical reason
is related to quarterstaff...
Which is related to the Monk
See?
So many restrictions for no reason
Anyway, let's have fun in 2 days, we'll see
have a look at this Skill build. you have lots of stuff supporting Flickerstrike
restrictions have always existed in poe, want to play rain of arrows?? guess what class / weapon youre playing
Templar of course
asmong is trolling, surprise
holy arrows
your complaint can only be valid if flicker was limited to monk yet bad on monk
Blocked
otherwise, youre just whining
Monk has all the Quarterstaff nodes
Quarterstaff = Flicker Strike
ranger has all the bow nodes T_T
thats how the poe tree has always been...
what exactly does any of this have to do with new player help?
especially campaign
No idea, my original question:
I can imagine that hitting stat reqs will be way harder in PoE 2
you have Choice nodes for stats...
On travelnodes we get to choose what attribute we want, but it's only 5 points
Instead of 10
50% cut
we don't know. You'll just have to give it a go on launch if you want to try it out. It's not just travel nodes that were changed, it's an entirely new game
Alright, we will see then. Wish you all good luck on start
I mean you want to start with Witch and Flickerstrike.
why not go the safe route first and experiment after?
like you will see how to effectively route to get where you need to be
what class do you recommend for a poe newbie?
whatever one looks interesting to you tbh
i kinda had an idea to play every class a bit and then decide... is that ok?
jonathan, the game director, has mentioned the mercenary is a good class for starters, but it's ultimately you're call. Class restrictions aren't really a thing in poe, so it's mostly just about what kind of playstyle you want
Yeah that's the idea. poe is a game about making a bunch of different builds over time. I've been playing since 2018 or so and I haven't played the same build twice haha
And poe 2 is on track to be magnitudes larger than poe 1 in terms of build options
i played a bit of marauder with life instead of mana in poe1... i like a tankier character until i learn the game a bit
if youre new to POE please dont start in hc
ssf is fine, but hc will break your mentality because you just dont know what you're missing
hc is fine to start tbh now
since any hc which die, just gets transferred to softcore
just dont expect a full hc run on first playthrough
sure but you go to standard. I guess in PoE2 it doesnt matter
but it will eventually be weird to go from normal prices to the craziness
they play on as if nothing happened
on launch, yes no hc.
ea is only 1 realm, so its fine
i love hc but my net problems coused me to many deaths...so i am happy about this new mechanic where death will have meaning, but you will still play sc
i need some help. the hotbar holds 13skills but i can only see 8. how do i change and set the rest?
if you mean poe 1, hold ctrl (also there's #1┃new-player-in-campaign-help )

hi i'm learning about the support gems but i wonder if the skill gems have only 2 tags(like projectile, fire) does it mean i can only have 2 supp gems for each tag right?, or can i add something to reach max 5 supp gems for that skill?
No, the tags are there to describe the gem
Generally what they scale with
So if it says projectile, fire; it just means it scales with those two
so something like increased fire damage and increased projectiles would work on that skill gem, for instance
but each tag for only one support right?
No, every skill can have up to 5 supports
The tag is just a descriptor
You can have a skill that says fire, projectile; and have 5 supports that all support projectiles if you wanted
oh doesnt like poe1 right
I think there's a bit of a misunderstanding maybe. I would note that you can only use one instance of support gem in one character. So like, you can only use the "Meat Shield" support gem once for your whole character, but every skill gem can have 5 supports in total
ohh i get it
o i can add 5 projectile gems for that skill but cant use the same gems i have used in other skill?
or i miss something
(BTW, congrats on the mod elevation 😄 )
5 different support gems, yeah.
Just to be extra clear, there's no like general "projectile support". Every support gem is distinct
thank you! 😁
Like this is an example of a projectile support gem. You can use Chain once for your whole character
thanks so much. i'll come a lot later from now on. 😆
can anyone help me out if possible
Don't ask to ask! Post your question here so that people actually know if they can help. It's also better to discuss your question publicly so more people can chime in or learn! That's why these channels are here!
im trying to figure out on the store the best looking outfit/armor for Monk
im sry
i know they are all skins
Everyone likes different fashion
since im going possibly elemental monk or Witch (already bought the Witch Outfit)
so looking at which 1 would be ideal for Monk
wait -- this is for PoE right now PoE 2 -- https://www.pathofexile.com/shop/category/armour-effects
ok then i am gonna save my money then
ok
so this is why im torn
i might do Monk over Witch
so would 2x Quarterstaves do well for Monk or would 1 Quarterstaff and Unarmed be good
what? quarterstaff i think is a 2 handed weapon
well quarterstaves are 2-handed weapons. But if you mean having one in each weapon loadout, I would just use whatever you need as you see fit. As it stands, there aren't any skills that require specifically unarmed attacks
legit forgot about weapon swap...
Personally, I would say just play it by ear as you're leveling. Maybe you get a quarterstaff that does well with cold attacks, and another with lightning or sometihng, and then you can allocate them in each slot as needed. But I dont think it's something that's worth planning ahead for
hey guys, so i am in act 8 and im starting to die more than I would like, I know that I have less than the recommended health, but Im a little unsure of what I should do abouit it. I have tried to use the crafting bench some to increase my life total, and my resistances are currently just capped. I know my passive tree could probably use work.
I feel weird about my gear. In particular my main hand weapon and my chest piece, It seems to me i got like super super lucky with them because it feels like having a 5link chest piece and this particular sword is enabling me to do alot of damage (I am new could not know what im on about)
Idk any advice regarding my tree/gear would be appreciated https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Storm226-0798/characters
wrong channel
For help in poe1 acts
#1┃new-player-in-campaign-help
oh damn my b its poe 2 ty
theres only 6 acts in total so he must be from 2026
On weapons swap you can have different passives right, so one for a cold build and one for a lightning build and then swap between them. Does that also apply to ascendencies, because the monk has; I am the thunder and I am the blizzard. You'd want those to swap upon weapon swap as well
Doesn't work for ascendancies, keystones, or jewel sockets
Ah, that's unfortunate. Understandable but unfortunate
So you really need to think things through for your ascendency, or buy the reset for gold
Do we know if weapon swap work with totems ... Like if I summon Ancestral totem with a mace then swap to a Staff does it despawn or still stays ?
i believe the new totem skills use their own weapon, not your weapon. That might not be all totem skills, though. So they'd stay summoned/attacking. If there's a totem that uses your weapon, i'd expect it to despawn if you swap to an invalid weapon.
I mean the Ancestral Warrior Totem gem requires a 1H Mace or 2H Mace it says it there but i'm not sure if that requirement applies to the whole duration the totem is summoned or just at the begining to summon the totem
I guess we'll find out .. it's probably one of those questions we can't answer until we start playing
afaik, weapon swaps snapshot
Can someone explain concentration, i read this four times and still confused
Why cant they just have the ability say that it increases enemy cooldown recovery by x%
It could easily be worded like:
For every hit apply a debuff that reduces enemy cooldown recovery by 1%, stacking up to 40 times (for 40%)
After 5 seconds the debuff will wear off and you must re-apply the debuff
From my understanding the functionality of that would be the same as enemies all having 40% concentration by default, then being able to lower it further which in turn increases their recovery rate..
because this is based on the damage you deal
your wording would benefit fast hits with no damage
So i just dont get the first line, "Enemies have maximum concentration equal to 40% of their maximum life"
Is this a statement about all enemies having this, or is this something that the ability causes to happen
IE, if you dont have witchbane do all enemies have 100% concentration?
could be either since this is the only thing that seems to interact with concentration
breaking concentration on hit, indicates to me.. if you deal 40% of the enemies damage, all 40% of their concentration is gone which means that enemies will have 50% less cooldown recovery.. right?
But its just not clear if the amount of concentration an enemy has is changed by having the skill, :/
enemies effectively don't have concentration without this ascendancy node
i wonder if other classes have this as well
i haven't seen it anywhere else
ok that answers it then thanks
Blood mage looks potent
merc looks like it can just play anything
on both witch hunter and gremling you got nothing that ties you down to being ranged
witchunter for more focus on cultivating strike and killing magic enemies with added bonus of having crazy passive tree swaps on weapon sets
gremling for just major utility bonuses to everything, and using same support gem twice is also sick
Ascendancies do not change our character looks, right?
shouldnt
RIP
didnt in poe1 anyway
PoE 2 is a different game though. I dislike Sorceress, but if she looked like the Chronomancer i would like her...
I feel like they said they did want ascendancies to do that at some point.
hi Q: gaining 2 passiv point per successfully trial I can reach to 8 passivs total. But The ascendancy flowshart show more than 8 nodes total (small+big) so I dont get all in the end?
ty 🙂 oh no now I need to think.. that means I only get half of an ascendancy tree
should i buy poe 2 on the website or on steam or does it not matter?
devs get more money if you buy it through the website. they'll give you a steam or epic key too
oh can you choose which key to get on the website?
yeah
Not yet. The standalone client will be able to start downloading in about 36 hours (if my math is correct), and steam and epic have had no pre-loading plan announced
(yet, maybe)
(but they probably won't be able to)
Yep, exactly
can i play on the standalone client if i get the steam key
i dont really know how it works
As long as you paid your money somewhere, your account will have EA access. From there, you can choose how you launch the game and login. So yeah, you can use the standalone even if you purchased a key through steam
oh i kinda messed up tho cuz on the website
i didnt make a poe account
i just signed in through steam
Yeah, that'll work
You have a poe account from that, you just use steam auth
So you should still be able to get in and set it all up
But i'll admit i haven't been through that myself, so not certain of the exact steps
thanks for your help!
Well normally bleeding is based only on the amount of physical damage in a hit.
So this would let fire, lightning, and cold damage also be used, hopefully making some real big bleeds
What is elemental leech
Leech from elemental damage
Life?
Wait, so if i go melee bleed witch, it's preferred that i also boost one of the elements like fire?
It could be, but you could leech to mana or energy shield from elemental damage. "Elemental leech" should cover all of them
Oh so everything gets leeched at once?
Not sure about preferred, but it sounds like a decent option
You would need a source of leech. Where are you seeing the term "elemental leech?
I've just heard people ask about it
Didn't really make sense to me because how can you leech an element lol
You'd get a passive that says something like "1% of fire damage leeched as life"
Oh ok I gotcha
A leech source would specify how much you leech, what kind of damage you leech from, and what resource you leech it to
reserving resources is the result of you getting a permanent buff, like from an aura or having permanent minions
so wait u cant go full into 1 ascendency?
since im finally deciding to go with Elemental Monk
u cant fully fill out the tree?
nope
what point should i skip out on if i can only do 8/9
invoker monk?
you get 8 points total, which means 4 large nodes
Ohh
oh ><
👍
Does blood mage have a specific element to focus on? Lightning, fire, etc.?
So its like a chunk of the resource you can't use while X is active
spirit's whole point it to reserve it
but if you reserve life or mana, then yeah, you can't use the reserved amount
Ok cool thx
so then @hearty walrus what would u pick for Invoker Monk then?
idk. i'm not planning on playing that yet
doesn't seem like anything specific
so for Invoker Monk what would i choose to be "very potent" ?
do i just focus on 1 element (Ice/Thunder) or do both
i definitely want Meditate for sustain and survivability
for pure damage, probably 5 6 and 8
shock causes enemies to take more damage
so 3 5 6 8 then?
i suppose
or thats not ideal?
i looked at another site and it said that Ice Monk was stronger ?
i might go Shattering Palm build
This does mean I still take 100% but regen some life back right?
Or is it instant? I take only 85%?
we don't really know yet. not until we actually play it
recoup occurs after you take damage
I assume the first one
Otherwise it would just straight up say "15% phys dmg prevented"
sry, this was in reply to sixklehavoc
whats good leap slam, HoTG, titan build
should these channels even be open 🗣️
someone with big brain might know some ideas
noone knows
you can find people theorycrafting on YouTube and twitch
so what does magnitude mean when reffering to ignite im getting so many mixed answers when trying to figure it out
Short question
Is there a class which u would consider more "supportive"
4689 could be a strong elemental ice build
You could think of recoup sort of like leech that you get from damage taken
Could someone explain what darkness does for the acolyte of chayula? It looks like it replaces spirit and you gain it for taking damage, but I'm not sure what it does by gaining it
in what sense?
guess those two ascendancies go hand in hand
I was thinking that, but wasn't sure. So on its own the Embrace the Darkness is pretty worthless until you get Grasp of the Void
guess it just acts as additional defensive layer?
as instead of dmg you reserve darkness
Mostly debuffing
Ok funny wanted to play witch anyway and with this information I will prolly chose bloodwitch
I hoped/thought there would be a king class for debuffin
So i am confused . Early access is the 6th and i cant even buy early acces pack (ps5)
If not wich date is normal release ??? Thx
no date for launch.
Playstation should have access to the EA. but option to buy it probably delayed
Am I right in thinking that normal items have no prefix/suffix, magic has 1 prefix and 1 suffix and rare can have 3 of each?
U can only buy EA on PS on 6th
correct
thanks.. is that the same in both poe and poe 2?
Did JR confirm if we're gonna be able to get all 8 asc points in EA?
does poe2 release same time poe1 seasons usually do?
if poe1 seasons are usually 4 months poe2 will be in the middle of that probably. but we don't know the Season candance
staves might include magic and quarter
I just want to be 100% sure
no i meant like the hour of release on dec 6
There is no solid info on it
if it's gonna be the same as poe 1 seasons usually release
no one will have solid info yet
damn
is the preload available if you buy the game through steam?
EA is minimum 6 months. so they might release it in between seasons of PoE1
no, preload will be 18 hours prior
yea, but can it be done through steam?
of course
bet
I dont think they've confirmed poe2 preload on steam, but I'd imagine it should be
imagine no preload on steam
Has steam ever done preloads for games?
I can't think of any
lots of times
what? many games have done it
guys, is the poe2 campaing way longer than the poe1 one?
i watched the live stream and it says it will last about 25 hours
while on poe1 it only lasted like 6-8 hours
oh
i didn't think newer players would take that much to clear campaign
okok, sorry
tyvm
I think ggg originally set out poe2 campa to be tad shorter than poe1
but who knows what is it now
there are features swinging estimates for either way.
- Easier respeccing
- Easier time figuring what the marketed builds are for a class
- Cannot corpse run bosses
So what, this will add +5 dex period or per gem level?
Just means it requires one Dex travel node.
ye but will it be +10 on level 2, u think?
Possibly
if you die in hardcore on standard does your char convert to softcore?
yes jonathan said that in his interview with ziz
Electrocut = shock, right? Also, what do frenzies give in PoE2? I heard they do not give crit chance, etc. anymore..
Ah okay, thx
But charges have no stats associated with them
hey guys i have a question about damage conversion in poe2
i just saw that they changed it from poe1 and now it doesnt benefit from prev conversion mods, so now u cant scale damage with prev conversion and after conversion damage modifiers, so i was thinking whats the point now to convert one damage to another? u are not getting the double dipping from damage mods anymore
different damage types inflict different ailments
some damage types may be easier to scale a certain way on some classes
anyone here going minion Witch build if possible?
Is there a good guide or the like on how PoE 2 is different from the first? Bounced off PoE 1 but curious if PoE 2 is different enough for me to give it a second try.
Electrocute isnt shock. Its a CC debuff
oh ok
it's very different. more methodical combat. much more new player friendly
What about in terms of gear/equipment aquisition? The heavy trading focus in PoE1 took me out of it, is that still heavily incentivized in PoE2?
Ah, that's unfortunate. Thanks for the answer
Unfortunately I didn't play PoE1 long enough to decipher how much that changes. I'll just have to check it out after full release and see what other ssf (thanks for the acronym, didn't know there was a term for it) players think.
There isnt a world where trading wont be the easiest way of obtaining specific piece of gear. But gearing in SSF has been very much doable to handle all content of game.
is it worth it to try out poe for these two days or go completely blind into poe2
i watched the announcment vids for 2 and im very hyped to try it out
has there been any info on whether we're going to lose resistances like we do in POE1 at certain points in the campaign?
Surely witch can go non minion, right? Right?!
of course
Godbless
devs are even not making a minion subclass because they don't want witch to be the only option for them
where can i find the mercenary witch hunter runes of skills (not the skill tree )? pls
you mean crossbow skill gems?
which is wierd because ranger still considered Bow class :/
not really. ranger doesn't have any bow specific ascendancy nodes
yes, that is her theme. what i mean is that, in poe 1, necromancer was an almost no-brainer choice for minion builds
yep, I'm mixing bow and xbow until more weapons are in. Gonna try traps and spears on my ranger for sure
depends on boss abilities. maybe some bosses just straight up slap you and don't have abilites with cooldowns
PRAISE
Hello! I made a post a moment ago for new players and a discussion about ascendancies and their complexity. I know new players can get overwhelmed and also ascendancies were confirmed as not able to be changed, so I don't want new players to get stuck with an ascendancy that is beyond their ability level/willingness to learn complexity.
If you were on the fence about what to choose, take a look! Again, this is just my opinion having some experience with POE1 and reviewing all the choices for myself.https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1h6rak0/perceived_ascendancy_complexity_tier_list_spoilers/
On poe2 the weapon is limited to the class? Will not be able to run monk double axe? 🫠
no, it's not.
any class can use any weapon or skill gem.
how does enemies scale in multiplayer? is multiplayer equally hard as single player or does it get easier?
Their Life scales up, I'm not certain if we have exact numbers.
devs said it should be balanced in a way that it doesn't feel advantageous to play multiplayer
Excuse me for the question if it isn't the correct channel but;
Is it possible to purchase Early Access on Steam and get the Key BUT use the Key on my other non-Steam account?
If your account doesn't already have the EA, it will redeemed directly
you won't get the extra key
Ahh shucks
Thank you for the answer!
cant he buy the EA as a gift on steam?
that might be possible
so is there gonna be a preload?
xbox, play station: started
pc: in 1d 2h
steam: unknown
Should be. I only have steam as login method. But I also started PoE via Steam. Maybe its different when starting in Standalone? Dont u see steam in ur account?
Did Jonathan mention anywhere what happens if you use up all 6 portals but don't finish a map? Is it the same as dying and you can't proceed that route anymore?
Map is done if u die or have no portals left
Nono
Sry, I misunderstood
Actually dont know as not all maps have a boss I think
Yeah, guess we'll know later then
Will take days until hitting maps for me
you can link it, but it won't do much
hello, I have tried so much 2 learn poe 1 but i cant get the hang of it only time i was able to have some real fun was following a build on maxroll. will i still need the wiki and guides to hold my hand 2 learn or is it a more streamlined experience to learn the game
From everything we've heard, the game is much easier to approach and understand. I assume most people will still follow build guides for high-powered endgame content, but the average player should be much more able to get started and know what they're doing.
great thanks 🙂
Does this also apply to any effect from support gems and nodes on the passive skill tree that give stuff like 10% to gain a power charge when attacking??
no flicker enjoyers allowed
as long as you attack with it you cant gain Power.
may have to supplement by Siphoning strike
may try the support that has a chance to not use Power
maybe even a passive for that too
Magefist also theorizes 😄
so i got the Path of Exile 2 Early Access Supporter Pack in game. how do i apply it to my steam account?
I got a ps5 key from ggg, the client name is Path of exile 2: beta, is this the pre-load or the beta itself? Still downloading
preload
Was the link to download in the key itself? I still dont see it in store and per the forum post it says it'll be up tomorrow at 11am PST.
Alright, but this key is for the ea or I still need to buy the pack?
If you got a key from GGG it is the EA key.
How did you get it btw? Due to lifetime spending?
Yeah, in the messages on PoE site, it was there, I claimed on psn and the client is about to finish downloading
Yeah, this was written in the message
oh nice, yea you dont need to buy a supporter pack. Also you look familiar, from Sanctuary discord?
Yeah lol, every now and then I'm there
haha nice, cant wait for Friday, GLHF
Same glhf
As a general poe rule, never stumps always
Sorry that wording was weird LOL a condition that says “never” will override conditions that say “always” or “% chance”
So since this gem says that you can’t, it doesn’t matter what else you have
xbox can play poe2 right now ?
I see
That is extremely lame and shitty
Yes, there's things like breach splinters already been revealed. And frankly, a lot of GGG's leagues and extra content are fragment-based, i don't expect that to change.
But if you actually mean "should i buy a fragment tab", then there's no harm in waiting til you actually need it. Fragments tend to be for endgame content.
yea that was my intention. Just trying to write down tabs and costs to see what it would take. Still unclear if map tabs will automatically translate to whatever holds waystones etc.
Well the community would absolutely riot if they didn't, so... I'm pretty confident of that one. And since waystones is just a new name for maps, it really would make no sense to not have that work
There was always a bit of confusion for new players, because you craft a map (item) which is then used to open a map (zone). So i'm pretty sure you now craft waystones and open maps, which is just a bit clearer.
Tier and visual organization might be different but yea makes sense they'd want to keep it. Idk if I want an essence tab though. I also couldnt find anything about div cards. So it sounds pretty safe to upgrade to premium, currency then maps and fragments.
Yeah, i'd agree, that's the most sensible starting set
there are gonna be div cards
I have a kind of niche thought. Usually in pve games some things are async or there is not a lot of empahasis on perfectly synchronizing order of hits. So maybe 6 witchhunters with decimating strike could 1 shot a boss with their first hits
or I guess in a best case 4 witchhunters
all hits read hp as 100% before applying damage (which could be and is probably sequenced) but then they also highroll at hit for 30% each haha
Is there a resource that explains the class / ascendancy playstyles well?
I have been reading these only as of a few hours ago and if it makes sense they are not too restrictive. Eg. Gemling legionnaire that I am looking at currently.
node 1 gives 10% quality to all skills
which means it would be optimal to play skills that have meaninful benefits from increase in quality (most likely more damage)
You can do many things with almost any ascendancy.
Like this has no mention of weapon type, skill type etc. Although you'd most likely be str/dex or some ratio of these two. So it will probably be from the set of str/dex gems. The way I understand this ascendancy is, it is a "Gem ascendancy"
The best gemling L build could even be one that doesnt use crossbows. Idk what builds would benefit from these gem buffs. The extra skill slots also feels very random. I havent played enough builds in poe1 to know if there's a use case.
did you see the ascendancy reveals?
can any hit that does fire damage cause ignite if it exceeds the ailment threshold, or does it need to have a chance to ignite associated with it?
Hi tomorrow it's Free for all or i still need to buy 30$ FP ?
The Early Access starts in a bit over a day, and you need to buy a key for that, so at least $30.
The game will be free (and complete) when the early access ends, but that will be in at least 6 months.
Can someone link the GGG news post/thread or whatever, where they talk about waiting for steam, on confirming preloads for poe2, please
That stuff is pretty accessible in the #old-game-news channel, for future reference.
Thanks so much
I’ve read over the nodes but I don’t have any context to decipher them really
When picking a class, is the only difference the starting point in the skill tree and what ascendancies are available?
yes
The "starting area" of the tree, i.e. the first few lines/groups of passives, will also change
they have some slight difference in starting attributes too
So a sorceress and a witch will start in the same spot, but have some different nodes available, for example
any data/specifics on this?
Not yet, details of the tree like that will need to be seen once the EA starts
They've shown off early versions of the concept before, but the details of what nodes are going to change will definitely be different by now
But i'm pretty sure the witch has some minion nodes, whereas the sorc gets some elemental and/or spell damage nodes
They show a bit of the passive tree in the reveal stream and other videos (official channel) but yea I havent seen a full tree anywhere.
whats the importance of skill link?
support gems are a huge source of power
does the link come with the item or you have to create the link yourself
wait classes dont determine what skills you have?
in poe2, items don't have links or hold gems
no more linking
oh wait really
nope. there are a few skills that only come from subclasses. but every other skill comes from items called gems
oh interesting
As someone explained to me, this game is very sandbox-y and not as restrictive as most games.
any class can use any skill and item
hard to wrap my head around, last arpg i played was diablo 3
do ascendancies usually use skills from the starting class or nah
starting classes don't come with skills
I have never played D3 to completion but a simple analogy is skill tree -> skill gems. passive tree -> paragon.
95% of your skills are gonna come from not your subclass
and ascendancies only get like 1, maybe 2, if any
so what determines what skills you have
gems
you find uncut skill gems as drops or quest rewards
with that, you can pick any skill in the game to turn it into
i guess i mean like, in gameplay i see certain classes using certain skills, what pushes classes to use certain ones
generally, where they are on the tree and the benefits thei ascendancy gives
why does witch like summoning stuff and doing bone spikes and not sorceress lets say
the way they presented the classes in the videos was mostly to help new players to the game, but any class can use any of the skills they showed
I wanted to add that the main stat also matters. skill and support gems have stat requirements like dex/int/str
attribute highways you can choose which attributes they give
this makes picking a class harder since i dont have the context to what the ascendancies even do other than funny words, i was just going off what skills looked neat in videos
it's perfectly fine to build around the theme of the class, and then experiment later
This is EA and luckily there are only 12 ascendancies released. It might be a good idea to just try them all, play a bunch of chars and progress the one that appeals the most to you (or is strong). That is my plan.
like, i'm gonna go a minion witch, altho warrior, and mercenary seem decently suited to minions as well
don't you have to progress a bunch to unlock each one? trying all would take a lot
hmm ok
Looking for a build that will be tanky
anything titan
titan is like slamming and a bunch of crowd control right
they'll be releasing more classes and ascendancies throughout ea. at launch, there's gonna be 12 classes and 36 ascendancies
My plan was to play the first char and collect gear that is decent enough to be able to do trials then use the gear on the new chars. So the progress would be like alt/twink leveling but not on that scale, just same concept but minimized.
slams, stuns, tankiness
Banking progression gear at various level requirements is more of a D4 hc thing, idk if there are better ways to do it in poe though.
there are uniques beneficial to leveling
yea I am not planning on leveling the first char to endgame unless I really like it though. I plan on pausing halfway and using saved drops to just try out the few ascendancies I wanted to try.
That is probably the more reasonable strat tho, pick something, commit to it become "rich" then you'll be able to try out whatever you want after this, but I am just curious to try out a bunch as soon as possible.
blood mage is lifesteal and crits right
generally, yesh
I dont want to keep dumping my whole thought process why I wanted to do this but it mgiht be good to post in case someone can invalidate or has a better approach. So once I get these characters to ascendancies, I am pretty sure I will not be able to find the best or most fun builds for those ascendancies. And if I have say level 30 chars for all 4 ascendancies I wanted to try, I can save them as placeholders (kinda like building a collection) and then come back and progress the one I would enjoy the most based on info from the good theory crafters/build makers.
Some ascendancies feel very clear on what they would want to do in endgame but some seem very generic. Like gemling.
im a little confused on the monk and mercenary ascendancies as well on what the summary of the playstyle is
gemling legionnaire is just a buff to almost any build
Combat style wise I found merc and monk very appealing and was gonna try those but I personally feel gemling legionnaire is "Advanced" and someone with a lot of poe knowledge would be able to come up with the best build for it.
Out of the ones I was interested in, deadeye seems like the most straightforward ascendancy.
Like if I pick deadeye. I want to play at max range/projectile/marks and charges. I can just filter and try to pick projectile skills and since I've already played with marks and charges, I do know some of them and how they work at least on a superficial level.
so the first monk ascendancy is like cold or lighting elemental damage, what does the dark one do? pickups that increase damage and more tanky?
And my understanding of chayula monk is -> you wanna be a mana tank. Like you leech mana instantly, and the damage you take is to your mana over your health, so you wanna build a shit ton of mana and want skills and gear that leech mana. And also go intelligence heavy (since mana leech recharges yoru energy shield). Then there could be the minigame of picking up flames, idk how that would be in practice.
mana/es leech, chaos res, chaos damage, a unique form of tankiness
whats chaos damage exactly?
mostly poison in this game?
ah ok, I havent used any besides poison. I also wasnt sure about how good or bad the darkness concept is. I have no reference to what it means in terms of reservation.
and poison themed skills that don't inflict poison
Basically anything that isnt fire/lightning/cold and sounds magical?
I do remember bleed is physical DOT
there's a lot of poison themed bow attacks
skills will specify what damage type they deal
I am very interested in this ascendancy but I have been playing poe 1 until this morning so I am just starting to read about poe2 info today. I will try to look at chaos damage skills tomorrow.
and bleed it phys dot, yes
i think for now ill try elemental monk and witch hunter
witch hunter is like applying constant damage to lower boss concentration or exploding enemies if I understand it correctly
witch hunter also felt straightforward yeah
its tanky and has some % damage chances. The concentration concept reminded me of poise break builds in souls games.
I am def gonna be playing this
Btw, I consider myself a new player/beginner and I think either witchhunter or deadeye seem like safe/straightforward league starter builds. Wonder what experienced players think of this (I am partial towards bows/xbows so I havent looked at melee builds and I am not big on minion builds).
ps players is your psn showing poe2 on the list?
I havent checked, but it is supposed to show up in 11 hours
That concentration thing is bound to break some fights in one way or another
Manipulating boss cds can have weird results, atleast in poe1
Hello Guys
I am new at PoE but i want to ask someone who have more Experience - can you help me please with Stormweaver Gems - i want to try play full Chill Freeze build with maby a few other skills becourse as soon as i understand you cant do much DPS with just Cold skills but most want to be focus on insta Freeze enemyes - tell me please is it possible?
Eeeeh nothing prevent you from doing dmg with cold skills
And there arent storm Weaver gems
I also was think between Stormweaver - Witchhunter and Invoker - but what i see in Ascendancies i think Stormweaver will be better in way if Chill and Freeze enemyes
But im not sure
No skill gem is class bound
Only skills granted by ascendancy itself are class locked
So yea - im not experienced about support gems - dont know about curses and auras - gonna try by myself on fly then
What’s the core gameplay difference between a lighting stormweaver and lighting invoker anyways
mind i ask which region are you from?
weaver is range and voker is melee 🤣
Weaver seems to be more ailment oriented, while invoker seems to lean towards some crit synergy
US Pacific
neither have anything ranged or melee specific
its depends of gems and weapons right?
yeah
But if your original dilemma is: is cold damage based caster good with Weaver, true answer is we dont know, but it seems to support it pretty well on face value
ok thanks
Has arcane surge and mana scaling baked in, then add the cold ailments
Seems like a package to me
yo does anyone know about witch
never heard of that
can i always stay in that demon form like in the video
sounds like something you swap in an out
last 2 lines
It has increasing hp drain, but surely someone figures a way to make it perma
Demonflares can be capped to 10
sounds right
If regen>degen, you should be able to
ah no chaos innoculation for infernalist then
Ah ye no ci cus specifically 1 life
What do you guys think is the best cold spell to build a bloodmage around?
we have no idea yet
We havent gotten gems yet from ggg
can I infer that pconc no longer exists in poe2 or does pathfinder just have a free array of concotions you can choose from?
I really enjoyed pconc while leveling and was trying to see if those gems would work with ch-onk
only pathfinder can throw concotions.
you will be able to support this skill
it might return later as a general skillgem.
if enough player provide that feedback
ah rip, ty
Pf can pick one conc of the 5
I was trying to see what chonk (chayula monk) could look like. The more I read about it the more I want to play it.
If chonk could've pconc'd I would've 100% chosen it.
I think it would be cool to play unarmed, going through each unarmed skill and trying to see how they could work with this ascendancy atm.
you could play gas grenade or arrow
basically dealing poison dmg without using Mana flask
It actually looks like I'd want to do non chaos damage and get free chaos conversion?
What count as "hits"?
anything that isn't a dot
And the first hit that applies a dot is usually a hit right?
I've only played 2 builds in poe1 so far and this actually looks like its a great ascendancy for power siphon except I heard there are no mines in poe2
ok yea I get it, I do want to play this as some elemental damage that does a shit ton of hits and get chaos conversion and mana leech on that. And since it has charges, most likely a lightning build I guess.
I'm confused do we still get the old classes as well as the new ones
Tyty
most old classes, 2 renamed
and 2 new
what's been renamed?
So if I want to buy through steam, I just buy the early access pack?
Do I have to put in a code somewhere or would it automatically make me eligible for ea?
if you buy it on steam it is redeemed automatically
Safe to buy from there right?
Never had issues with steam in the past, but I've never been involved in pre launch games
So can you pre download POE 2 so you can play it when it comes out or do you have to wait until it officially comes out on steam?
they haven't said anything about preload on steam yet
so far no preload on Steam.
instead connect steam to PoE website and get the Standalone client for Preload
If I purchase through steam, can I not preload through the standalone client?
Oh just link steam to pke account
Already have that done for poe1
So you have to pay 30 bucks to play POE 2 on the 6th?
yes. it's paid early access
So how long is early access ?
at least 6 months. at most a year
any character made during ea at release will be put in a separate early access standard league, separate from normal standard
'far into 2025' is the info so far
So the game is $30+ plus for all of early access right?
oh ok
so im on act 2 but I feel weak on mercenary, what can be some common problems?
weapon dmg
can somone send me the poe2 tree link pls?
type shit
so do you need to buy alot of storage stash for POE 2?
Nobody knows, on poe1 you could do everything without a single purchase, but having more organized storage is really good
how do you play poe1 with no stash tabs lol? that sounds terrible
it works... just mor inventory management
there's some challenge runs on youtube
Is ea available at midnight today?
You can see the timer on website
in 14 hours possibly
what time will we be download the Game brothers?
Greetings fellow new players!
did in any of all these podcasts and interviews ever anyone mention the span of the endgame? is it fully as in full of a full release? in terms of content and bosses? I think this was never mentioned
For the record, they have not been renamed. They show up as Duelist and Shadow ingame still, as can be seen in the latest content reveal stream. They're only called that on the website due to GGG considering changing their names, and it making it into the behind the scenes stuff.
Website is the official source
if there is a boss killer/single target build in poe2, what is it?
witchhunter
Content Reveal Livestream
And Viper
weird that it sill is on the website
Anyone know when console can buy there end
Well PoE is in constant development, so there is always more content to be added and another boss around the corner. But we're getting a full-scope endgame from day 1 of EA, yeah
Tbh I don't think endgame is 100% yet
Ggg might have a few things in store for end game later on
Oh, for sure
24 hours prior to launch
But what we're getting is "enough" by.any reasonable standard
We'll just get more later as well
more pinnacle bosses for example
