There is a problem with community games. The last game, which was the selfie competition, I noticed a big accessibility problem! The people who won the competition all had expensive shaders and emotes! Except some people can’t afford those, but have really unique photos! I think that maybe the Cubecraft team should start judging future Community Games by how unique the submission is, not how much of a price tag they put on it.

While I partially agree with this, there are ways to do shading through editing softwares as well that wouldn't be expensive
Editing photo's isn't allowed, only ingame features
It they ban shaders all the photos are gonna be ass
There wont be much difference between the winner and a random participant
But some people have more amazing locations in their photos!
I say you're wrong because it is accessible, 1 You say shaders cost money — No they do not you can find them in mcpedl or even use vibrant visuals if you really want to. 2 You say emotes are not accessible — They are most emotes are free through earning achievements. 3 Pc's are cheaper than ps5's and have shaders
Ok
Minecraft isnt known for being visually stunning by itself
The guy with shaders Will Always take the best screenshot
I believe that they should judge about the location the selfie is taken in, not about the emotes and shaders.
What do you mean?
I get the emotes, but the shaders make the photo much better
So i disagree with you
Whats stopping you from using shaders anyways
It’s the cost!
Did you read my message?
Shaders are completely free, both on Java and bedrock
I understand they look better, but they are less accessible
Not the more vibrant ones.
You can find hyper realistic shaders for the price of 0€
On multiple websytes
A free achievement isn't less accessible as the skin you're using
Except I have tried that. They don’t apply!
What do you mean they dont apply
My skin is free
I cant apply them to Cubecraft server
If your device cant run shaders its on you
I gtg sorry
You literally can
This guy doesnt know what hes talking about
Heya @peak badge We always try to keep our competitions as fair as possible. While I do partially agree with you, we did not judge people solely by visuals. We also kept originality and creativity in mind. Satirit and Jack, while using limited shaders made it to the spot they were placed in mostly because of their originality. One person going as far as making a while ice cream truck with ice cream. I had a look at your submissions and something I would recommend for our next picture event would be to potentially play around with your fov, removing any distractions from the screen such as the hotbar, doll and chat (this can be done natively in your settings). This allows for more broad pictures which can include a lot more background to judge on. I personally don’t like spending any extra money on minecraft than what I have to but somehow I got myself a few emotes not sure how but ig there are ways. Emotes take away from the “staleness” of a still picture. 🧍
I believe I have “wave”, a selfie where you’re waving for example out of the lighthouse would’ve been a great picture! Or waving to a departing hot air balloon? 🎈
