I can only comment on the advertising bit as I don't really play Eggwars:
For as long as Cubecraft and its games do not sit behind a paywall, there will be advertisements. Cubecraft has to make money to survive as a server and when people see advertisements it encourages them to buy the cool items and ranks they see. Shops and businesses would be foolish not to put up advertisements or use marketing techniques, the exact same applies to servers.
"Yeah I know its a business and they need to make money somehow, but the thing is they are putting the money in their own pocket, NOTHING goes to the server itself."
This is just plain wrong. Cubecraft currently employs 7 developers (publicly) and various other staff members like administrators, designers, and QA/Customer support people. The development team they run is funded off of people buying ranks and marketplace content from advertisements so its absolutely incorrect to say this money doesn't go into the server itself.
As for maps: create a new post with the new maps you'd like to see added and people can vote on them. That's a much easier method by which the server producers can see exactly what maps the community would like to see readded. The fact that Java map rotations are coming up on May 13th means that some Java maps might be added to Bedrock too.
"Currently, cubecraft is the most successful server on bedrock, and yet hive has way less ads on their own server."
Think you're disproving your own point here
Cubecraft is having a lot of issues with servers recently, they have been very public about this. Some of these issues are out of their control, including the submarine cable that ran Asian servers on Cubecraft. Following these unforeseen issues, I imagine a lot more things have broken that are out of Cubecrafts control, which will only be fixed with development time.
?
I don't understand the question/comment, sorry.
What are you referring to?
Nope, never said this?
Quote where I said this and I can clear up whatever you're misunderstanding
There's a correlation between advertising content/ranks and being the most popular server. People buy the content/ranks they see advertised on the server and are more inclined to play on servers they have bought stuff on. I said you are disproving your own point as Hive could probably benefit from advertising their content more, which is probably why Cubecraft has more success. I'm not saying that all Cubecrafts success comes from advertising, but it's certainly true you're more inclined to play a server/game if you have bought ranks/content. And more people buy ranks/content when they're advertised.
Could certainly be one of the reasons, you can find the reasons I think this in the response above.
Yes
If you get a gym membership you're unlikely to go to a different gym

Nothing much will happen though, unless you are seeing it different to me? What would be the implications?
Yep, they're pretty equel in playercount
That's something you'd have to suggest to Hive I guess.
The playercount Cubecraft has has been built up over years though, so I don't think you'd see any immediate changes.
And blockwars

They still went through and said they had already made it
And it’s like then why ask or ask before u do
I absolutely agree! If CubeCraft just produced their products without advertising and just added them to the store, I'm sure their sales would drop significantly. I don't think anyone would look at the marketplace out of the blue and say “has anything been added to the CubeCraft Store?” That's how a lot of people, myself included, were encouraged to buy bundles and other content. If CubeCraft is now a freely available brand, its biggest source is its active revenue stream. Speaking specifically for the MC:BE platform, CubeCraft introduced many of the innovations and great design/software elements that we see today in MC:BE. I have no comment on the maps, each player's opinion and taste is definitely different. I just want to say that if there is a problem, if it is related to them, they definitely try to solve it in a visible way. Also, about panah's comment “I don't care about the paycheck of their workers”, if you want good workmanship you have to pay well. And if CubeCraft wants to see positive changes on the server, they should give their teams enough financial support.
Also, Hive is definitely a successful server and I'm sure there are many reasons why players prefer them, but as a CubeCraft player, I'm distant from the Hive minigames, which are quite fancy and modernized after the classic CubeCraft minigame style I've been used to for years. These elements and situations are all about personal taste.
Hive PvP mechanics are the only reason I play cubecraft
They are so bad that's I would rather play cube on high ping then play hive
