I believe the reason why we get these conversations every now and again in this channel is that there is a very noticeable divide between the two mindsets, pre-2018 and post-2018, I don't think these two can ever get along. There's a group of people out there that saw Cubecraft as a relatively casual, goofy game that had intermittent chaos. The group that sort of "modernized" the gamemode, if you will, ended up making an environment that toned down the casual feel, in place of a more competitive tempo that ends up angering the first group that came back to see the meta changed. Pre-2018 players will play like their old ways (building up resources, avoiding direct combat where possible, general passivity), and so they lean into this playstyle harder. The post-2018 crowd will get angry in response as well, and will lean into their own tactics (quicker building, W-tapping people off, extreme aggression). This has been happening for a while now, and we get to this point where neither side of the argument even understands each other because they've buried themselves so deep into this mindset that "this is how the game is meant to be played".
