I usually play in teams of four. Before the update, there were many times when I lost and won, but now the game is too simplified and I have never lost a game. Uninteresting

I liked playing because I knew I could find new ways to get better

At first I was total trash at pvp

Now I can eliminate teams in a sweat but whats the fun in that

I like a challenge

Last game I played with my friends we owned 2 bases and we has chests full of tnt to blow up the bridges when the egg was gone and we needed to fall back to the second base

And we successfully defended ourselves from a seige after literally just breaking the blocks under them and into the void

Still lost

But it was a fun learning experience and challenge

Our pre-update playstyle was using cannons, flying in planes, jumping out of planes with elytra, and sometimes raining TNT on the ground while flying.

Mostly during our long seiges we'd usually end it by slowly making a giant bridge to the other base

It would get attacked constantly

But it was fun having a supply train rushing supplies to the front fighters defending and continuing the bridge

Oh, I was crazy about Egg Wars for 2 years before the update, but I got bored of it within a month after the update.

It's a situation where its annoying for a very small minority of the playerbase since it looks like eggwars is bigger than it ever was rn (speaking for solo dont really know about the other GM) for everyone else it looks like a feel good moment because now anyone can win unlike back then when you needed actual skill to win

especially with how bias KB can be at times its even more broken now you can hit a guy 4 times and they move 1 block but get hit 3 times and your flying off the map

that was the case before this update to but with how horrible the armor is now you cant really fight back either cause you'll die in like 7 hits

Old update always gonna have the better shop cause I shouldn't kill someone while im in iron or diamond and have them match every single thing I have in less than 14 seconds after they spawn back

With the old update everyones starting off with leather and thats fine if you want an armor advantage thats where chain came in

you struggle with someone wearing chain thats where you get an iron sword it was as simple as that

diamond armor was for the trashcans or for the long 10min+ matches

Now everyones starting with iron and by the time a second base gets destroyed everyone on diamond

and you cant forget about the 1 trashcan who went naked right to middle for the netherite gear (80% of the time ends up winning because KB decided to go bias and let them throw you around)

Eggwars is doing better than it ever has before when it comes to inclusion and everyone getting a "Fair and Fun" experience but its garbage to a minority of players thats getting smaller and smaller because their switching servers or in general quitting. Good thing for the New Gen's in a way kinda sad seeing the old gens go tho

For the old players and the new ones

That way everyone can be happy and the server can thrive

Games have been extremely boring since like giggles said you can kill somebody and they could come back in seconds matching you and the kback Is horrible in such a way that fists can make you fly further than a sword(this was in the old ew but it’s a lot worse now) I just think cubecraft should actually listen to the playerbase instead of a selected few

Alright, so welcome to my "Too late no one asked" response
Where I give my take way after it's relevant cause I decided to wait to gather info instead of giving a first impression.

On the update, I've been in here before to argue in favor of it, and against it.
I think I fall firmly in neither camp though

For me it boils down to these questions.

1. Is the game playable? Yeah. It's about as buggy as every other CC update when they first drop. So give it a couple months and it should be at least all game breaking bugs stamped out.

2. Is it the same as before?
   Nooooope. The update has changed the game in a lot of ways, from focus of gameplay, application of design, and so on.

3. Is it bad that it's different? For most people who have been used to the old system, yeah probably. Me personally, I've been able to adjust fine, but that doesn't mean I don't recognize that EG is a very different game than prior to the update.
   For newer players though, they won't have the whiplash of having been experienced in the older versions, so for them they'll probably have no issue.

4. Is it a bad game now? I'd say now it just comes down to preference of the individual.
   Some might like the new updates, others won't.
   What a lot of people have to comw to terms with is this update isn't made in mind with keeping their playerbase, its made in mind of just bringing in new people, and I guess it accomplished that. We'll have to see if this was a good long term decision, but so far, CC got what they wanted.
   They pulled in more new players, at the cost of doing it with an update that alienates a vast majority of their veteran players.

Over all, I'm fine with the update.
I prefer the older version and believe it to be a more fun experience for myself personally, but this new one isn't all bad. I can get used to it.

I do think there are some bad changes. Prices of shops, some map overhauls, the KB could use some tweaking.

But I'm aware that these are issues that only I as a veteran player will have. A new player is just gonna pick up the game and play in mind with this is how it's always been for them. They don't know what it was like before, so it won't matter.
And frankly, as I said before, it doesn't matter to cube craft either-

It's silly to act like the update is "The best thing ever" because you wanna be a CC apologist.
Just like it's silly to act like it's "The worst thing ever" because its new and no longer what you're used to.

In reality, it's mid.

Honestly I wouldn't even call it an update.
As an update it fails completely since it trashes how the game was formally played for the sake of making something completely different.
That's not an update.
It's more of an overhaul
