and iron armor is way easier to get now which will make PVP more about "just hit the other player into the void" instead of actually just killing them in a fair fight. not to mention they removed chainmail. no one really used chainmail though, but they shouldnt have just replaced it with iron it was good as like a "place holder" in between iron and leather

like i dont mind them adding new stuff, but damn bruh why change the entire shop?!?!

this entire thing was a horrible idea and i just explained all the major flaws. who was overseeing this update and said "yeah, thats good. lets add it"

if i need to get used to a new system that ive been getting used to since, like 2016 or whenever i started playing cubecraft, i think its about time i finally get used to Bedwars's system instead

at least i'd be playing on Java, which I do have, but just dont use much because i basically only play minecraft for the public servers, and I was just used to and preferred Eggwars over Bedwars and didnt feel like wanting to figure out an entire new system in Bedwars. but considering there is a new system in Eggwars, which sucks so much and is so overly complicated for no reason, might as well do Bedwars

• emeralds = useless
• diamonds are too OP
• obsidian was already hard enough to get in normal and hardcore gamemodes but now it might as well not even be worth it anymore cuz its diamonds
• generators are more expensive to upgrade
• EVERYTHING is more expensive which causes more boring grinding in a base and less action battling it out with other players
• you keep pickaxes when you die
• wall builders cost gold now AND they dont stack AND they dont build instantly like before which defats the purpose of being able to quickly block someone off using a wall builder when now they got like 3 seconds to get around it while its building
• chain armor was replaced with iron armor
• Iron armor is now worth gold
• Pickaxes dont got enchantments in normal gamemode anymore
• weakness arrows were removed
• golden apples are now 7 gold??? why?
• and replacing terracotta with concrete wouldve been a good idea if the concrete wasnt so damn expensive and if there were better pickaxes to quickly mine through it

and it just overall feels like a whole different game now. the only thing familiar are the maps

chain armor wasnt used much but it served as a good separation from leather to iron / also was a good way to spend extra gold
weakness arrows was very OP late game if you had tons of extra gold, because excess amounts of gold was useless late game unless you could get weakness arrows or more obsidian for your egg
i use wall builders and they are HEAVILY slept on. they are a great way to throw your opponent off if they are trying to chase you down a narrow one block bridge or follow you up a staircase to their egg or somethin. you can quickly block them off at the click of a butten. also good as a quick way to wall yourself in while breaking an egg so they cant easily get to you if they dont got a pickaxe. sometimes good during PVP too as a way to throw them off and give you enough time to go around and sneak behind them and finish them off, or to just run away
obsidian was already hard to get in normal/hardcore gamemodes. now this just devalues gold even more

I think that people really dislike the price changes in terms of inconsistencies, like ancient debris costing gold, while obsidian cost diamonds. Costs, when compared to what value the item gives you, gives a perceived value of how much the item can assist in the game. With the pricing of many of these items, they have become useless, when compared to similar ones.

Honestly. I really love the update there’s just a few small things that need to be fixed that will make HUGE improvements/changes. I love the magic map being brought back and the aqua map is super cool

yes, in total, not if you are standing next to it all the time

so if you are rushing dead bases you get a bit more bang for your buck

this also applies to any diamond gens in middle that are not currently being taken from. This makes going to middle a better strategy, thus buffing rushing to middle.

by the way im going to post my suggestions on this channel since many people dont know that threads exist in discord. sorry for wall of text im abou to post

-Armor changes that I would like to see, with reasoning. Feel free to reply.

The old bridge from leather-chain-iron armor no longer exists, which was necessary to even the huge defense gap between iron and leather. Without that chain armor bridge, and supplemental items to assist (weakness arrows), fighting iron is now impossible in leather armor. Your best bet is to run away with slowness arrows constantly, which is fun for neither player. My suggestion is to add back chain armor in some capacity, possibly as the old gold-bought armor set, or replacing the leather armor in OP mode.

Netherrite armor should cost emeralds (or an insane amount of diamonds), as KB resistance is inherently powerful in a gamemode where you can fall and die (especially with how bedrock PVP works, combos are harder to escape). As KB resistnace acts like an enchantment, and is a straight upgrade to diamond armor, it should have a price that requires the meaningful sacrifice of other resource gathering to obtain it. It should serve as a reward for rushing, while forgoing other resources that players may be gathering in the meantime. This facilitates fast gameplay, while rewarding rushing for the best gear in the game, and rewarding defense for having more numerous options to counteract the benefits netherrite gives you.

Based on how most of the maps are designed, players are funneled onto branches of or from the middle island, which houses diamonds (and sometimes iron/gold). This makes the middle set of armor for each mode too easy to obtain, and facilitates earlygame rushing with almost no counter (since whoever can reach the gold generators first can cash out on the middle armor set and rush with a massive advantage). This problem also bleeds into map design, where certain strategies are better, or sometimes are not possible due to the constraints of what the map gives you. I think prices are a bit high yes, but it allows defending players to gear up if someone bum-rushes them. I don't see how that is a bad thing. You are taking a risk to try and kill their egg early when they spent their resources on defense. Season 1 was showing a consistent drop in players daily. Sure we could have kept it that way, but eventually it would have dropped down too low to keep EW online. We have to provide it with updates in order to see if we can make a version where more players enjoy it, hance the seaons system we have. We can take parts of one season that people liked, and move it to the next season where we introduce new changes and revamps. Some seasons may have very few things that people like, so we won't bring much from those seasons forward,

Season 2 has been a test to see if major overhauls of the mechanics could work. We ran the theory on it, but theory is nothing compared to testing it live, so that what we've done. We've seen there's a vocal group of people who have... suggestions... and we're taking them on board, but there's also a vocal group of people right now who are saying it's a more balanced games for new players now. We have to find a good middle ground and that's only going to happen with feedback and iterative changes.

The overall meta has changed, so players who are new or unskilled have a more fair chance against long time players. There's still plenty of skills long term players have to overcome new players, but new players aren't having an overall negative experience now, where they'd play 1 game, get detroyed, and never play again.

We would have absolutely put this in Beta games, that was the inital plan. However it happened to line up with the 1.19 update, and the code wasn't able to be branched off for a beta version as this would have doubled development time. Unfortunately it had to be done on the main game.

Our priorities for games are getting them started. We've found that players who are waiting 30 ish seconds to start, leave the game, meaning the games never start. That's why you'll sometime be put in games in a different region. Games that don't start aren't fun for anyone.
So we'd have to consider how sbmm would affect this, and I can't guarantee we'll ever do it, but when the java and bedrock versions are in a stable state, it's a system we can at least do some research into.

• Really low start but bearable;

• Even if beginner friendly most of the old players are not happy with the removal of some items;

• Just bring back protection to op mode and default enchantments, and can be upgraded trough emeralds to something;

• Bring back leather;

• Make netherite even more late game;

• Some price adjustments.
