Use stone tools if you've just unlocked iron, you won't have a good enough source of iron to be able to fix iron tools. Probably best to wait untill you're getting 2 stacks of irkn per mine to start using iron tools.

so, i've been building a creeper dropper farm and slowly saving up coins for lvl1 creeper spawners then i realized, i have tons of lvl1 spawners for all mobs (from that quest to kill 100 of everything) so... my creeper dropper now also drops cows sheep zombies etc. heh.

i had to remove the skeletons because i ended up with so many arrows

Just to clarify crops dont need water to grow, but without water within 4 blocks the soil will revert back to dirt after a short time if there is nothing planted in the soil. Meaning when you harvest, some of the soil will revert back to dirt. So if its a crop you are constanyly replanting like potatos or carrots I recommend water. Other crops like pumpkins and melons dont need water
