I didn't know shard of the sky was a thing and I almost had one myself before reaching that quest

So I am trying to build a farm that involves water. Because of the size of the farm it's easier to put the water down first then place the dirt blocks. But when placing the dirt blocks in the water they don't react as they should. In the past I've built a farm of this size using this method and it wasn't doing this before. So I am not sure if it's a bug or just the lag. Should I submit this as a bug?

Normally you can walk backwards placing blocks behind you in a row. This is a quick easy way of laying down a row of blocks. But when done in the water the blocks double stack unevenly and it doesn't react the same way as it does on land. That is the problem I am encountering

Does anyone else just lose tons of lvls and money from falling glitches? When i place blocks they glitch and disappear and not actually place or water. I dont have this problem on any other servers

Those are called ghost blocks, they regularly happen when the game is lagging/has a low fps, the only way to help it is to either not use unbreaking on tools (1.16.2 fixed this but server runs in 1.12.2) and by lowering the amount of spawners you have placed down
