Because then i have more space upwards, can create large build, can structure my island into different sections, hiding the ugly stuff at the bottom, designing the top to show off, and i was able to just throw mobs off into the void for quests instead of killing them myself

That itll only work for around up to 128 cacti, everything after that gets deleted when dropped

And most people come up with the idea to build this insanely huge

Which is fine for survival and most servers, but doesnt work well due go the growth timers syncing up, so they all drop at the same time and the item on ground cap kicks in

As the itemcap counts stacks/entities, not real item count, and when the cacti drop all in 1 tick you have dozens of indivual single item "stacks"

Its give or take 5 inventories that can lie on the ground before the red text pops up, a little bit more before it hardcaps

build a 10 by 10 by 2.5 pit. then build out to 12 by 12 above it so you can stand on that 2.5 block shelf of the 10 by 10 pit (otherwise they might glitch out). use your spawning method of choice to actually spawn them

unless its been changed, the big cubes dont drop any creams so you can just use fall damage to kill them outright
