Hey question, im stuck on the pumpking quest and the paint yourself blue quest. I need iron for shears to make a jackolantern and iron to make a cauldron to dye the armor. But the problem is that I haven’t unlocked an island with iron generator nor can i just buy them. How can i finish them?

Buy the carved pumpkin in the shop under blocks, to dye your armour blue its lapis in crafting table to make blue dye and then dye plus 1 piece of armour in crafting slot

The problem there becomes harvesting is slower which makes expanding the melons slower. It's a hard balance, and even harder early game before using dia tools

Repairing is annoying at that stage

Iron costs go up fast

And while setting up melon farm, you don't have the money from the melon farm yet
