AGAIN the sell price PER item DOESNT MATTER. The time efficiency is what matzers and as of which we have a greater efficiency in pigs than melons. +Bonus pigs arent any manual labour after u built the farm, just solely selling pork whenever u want

he finally came up and built a structure in the corner and jumped.
the beets shattered and spread all over our island and we cant even sell them the beets are the only thing we have and he's only getting worse.

They dont spawn inside the gates. They spawn ontop of the gates. So its like its a layer higher, imagine a layer of blocks at the same level are your trying to spawn ontop of those blocks, its not the right distance

Did some quick maths to make this graph of % of spawners that are spawning at a given moment from spawn cycle 0 onwards in a farm. It evens out at 2/11 ≈ 18.2%, which would suggest that the optimal number of spawners for a farm is around 11/2 * mobcap (825 spawners if the mobcap is 150)

You can, only problem with blazebomber is witches due to healing potions outhealing if you make it bigger, for the rest it can be used for any mob (slimes, magmacubes, spiders, cavespiders, chickens, pigs, sheep, cows, ocelots, etc wil bug out/not be trapped due to height)
But if you just fill in the walls then you can kill anything you like

@lethal nest Forget what tictac told you its straightup wrong. From what we know currently each spawner checks roughly every 3 seconds if it can spawn and if it can, then available spawnspace matters. The more sace to spawn on the more mobs will spawn per cycle. The more spawnspace available= higher chance for more mobs(until max mobs) to spawn per cycle
Its not a fixed 1 per 3 seconds. And technically spawnspace is 2 below, 1 up and 4 to the sides since it checks for where to place the feet of the mob, hence why it can spawn there

You will still get the xp, but the way spawners work is that the xp gain per mob level scales exponentially, so a level 20 cow spawner will already give way more xp then a furnace can ever provide

Break the furnace for xp or setup a lever on the hoppers to stop the collection and then you will get the xp
When a hopper is connected the furnace stores the xp until broken or as done above and an item is manually removed

If I understand correctly the typical dimensions for a pig farm is usually 16 pillars that are 54 spawners tall, for a total of 864 spawners. However with some maths I think I've figured out that 36 pillars of 24 blocks tall allows you to save over 2000 fencegates (With the same total spawners). Might be helpful information when instructing new players how to build a pig farm more efficiently?

oh right I actually remember why, me and xelia talked ab it. the mobs are too far away at that point and items despawn before they reach you
we were talking ab what the range limit was to condense height as much as possible

Looting is ok for quests, preferably just stone is enough. Fire is totally useless. And fortune/efficiency depends on ur playstyle
