Why do furnaces give way more exp than normal

We use smite combined with max height (127 blocks for hostiles without an extra player or more complicated setups) to get the highest level spawners as exp gain from spawners increase exponentially on level

Basically allows us to have higher level spawners in short terms

A reason why this may not have worked is because you were not close enough to the void (y-64) and the mobs were despawning before actually dying

4 blocks (cobblegenerators) around where the withers middle head will be after summoning, smite 20 bam. Blaze just cage em and get some distance then smack with a bow. Or just close combat em with aa celing above you if you have somewhat of an armorset

Thats not true it works you just gotta make sure ure doing this at voidlevel. For java it probably doesnt work tho depending on moblevel, aka how long they survive in the void cuz 128 blocks below u theyll despawn instantly thus not counting as your kill

Thats not the issue. The issue is automating the slimes death in sub 3 seconds for all 300 slimes that spawn (doing this is called 1 cycling and is crucial for late game farming. Its basically impossible for slimes currently)
