I have an anvil at base I just don't use Iron Axes because the repair costs would be wildly more expensive for slightly faster harvesting

And I use multiple axes so I don't need to carry around the anvil+cobble or run to an anvil each time I need to repair, just a quick swap to the next axe

Add repeatable quests for rare items whoch encourages people to keep playing.

Add a leaderboard for all kinds of stupid stats.

Give armors with special rare textures to give players things to grind for.

Add a few custom items like creative flight potions or sellwands.

Make a lobby where it's actually worth going there, give it a pvp arena or a dungeon like hypixel skyblock with exclusive items

And then for all of these, make a crate where you can get this stuff by random chance

and use a fortune hoe until I got enough saplings back

cause if you do just a solid block you obv won’t get enough saplings back through leaves, so unless you’re fine with buying, don’t make a block
