I've used stone tools with fortune 5, or a combo of fortune 3 and efficiency 2 for almost everything. Goes by pretty quick. @surreal urchin

For my generators I use iron tools with efficiency and fortune. But trees and crops I use fortune 5 stone tools

I've never used diamond tools. I have them, but it costs so much to level them up

I have droppers for my mobs so I don't need swords to kill them. Just one punch before they fall and you get credit for the kill. Easy and quick way to do it

That's what i did with the iron golems too. Make a single block floating over the void. Punch the golem once. Destroy the block and they fall. You get credit for the kill

I just got 4 stone axes. 2 fortune 5, and 2 efficiency 3 fortune 2.

Instead of repairing when one falters, just switch and then I can harvest for a long time. Then just repair all 4 at once and go again.
It really doesn't make that much difference in time as long as you have fortune 3-5

Now...with watermellons....I do use efficiency 5 because you fly through them faster than diamond with efficiency 2

But I've automated just about everything except for crops and trees.
I got an auto cactus farm tho.
Which we had pistons bc then I could do auto sugar cane

you can just place the saplings into a massive block since theyll grow next to each other, this will make an easy block of wood that can just be mined out, only issue with this is you lose saplings, so only do this method if you can afford it. if you dont have the money to buy saplings, place them in strips so there are lines of trees next to each other but only 1 wide, then have a 8 block gap between each strip, this method will give you more saplings back

If you unequip your shield it'll let you btw. It has to do with the server and client not agreeing with which item is in which slot. So you're really trying to eat blocks or something

to get zombies to even produce what a medium cocobean farm can produce per hour, first youd need to obtain 10-20 zombie spawners which means you need to grind zombies from the starting 3 or 4 spawners. 3 or 4 spawners produce ~30k an hour which means youd need 4 hours to get a 5th, 3.3 hours to get a 6th and so on. the setup time required to get zombies to a more efficient point than cocobeans is much higher than the time needed to start a cocoabean farm, grind 500k from it and then move on to melons which is massively better. overall zombies can not outrank cocobeans in anyway

if you need me to do all the math for both setup time and production time for best possible scenarios to show that cocoabeans are way better and its not close, then i can aswell
