It can be really tricky, even if it doesn't tame it it'll still feed it fish.
Just make sure to not move at all and just wait for ocelots to approach you, once they do; feed them fish but don't feed them too quickly in case it doesn't work and make you waste so many fish.

i dont think there is a really good way to trap magma but i guess u can maybe make a box in the nether over the void using cobble and at the middle make a 2 or 3 block deep hole so u can hit the magma without getting damage

I have one but not fully optimised sometimes they still get blocked in the box by climbing wall I think it can be corrected but too lazy for now to do that 🤣 after you still have the old one where you just push them on one side block them with some block or slab so they won't climb more than 2 block high where you go at every spot with spider to kill em

you can get some redstone items (detector rails, power rails, and activator rails) if you complete the "off the rails" side quest (crafting 3000 rails) and can power them from using levers, buttons or pressure plates
