build a diamond thingy shape 3 blocks thick in the middle

then put water in the corners of it

put sand and cactus on the corner of each of these blocks

this is all you need for cave spider farm

then pretend the jungle log is a hopper and put hoppers like this before every cactus with chests below

put trapdoors above the cactus then cover the entire thing with roof of fences
