because to unlock some hidden quests, you must first do a different hidden quest (eat 100 rotten flesh to unlock close quarters combat), which makes them "visable"

same with cookie monster after youve done cookie monsters apprentice

it tends to happen to hidden quests that dont have rewards, cant be seen

I use the same strategy to explore new islands: glass blocks, any other blocks (cobblestone, dirt...), sword and bow

What I do is basically dig into the island instead of using the caves it already has. I dig in the direction of the spawners (I use the information above the mobs and the sounds they make to know if I'm going in the right direction). I use glass to see inside the cave without being attacked, so I know exactly where the spawners are. If I have the opportunity or need to kill any mobs in the process, I do. In the end, when all the spawners are removed, I kill the remaining mobs from a distance with a bow. Once all the mobs are dead, I collect what I need to gather

This strategy is foolproof, but it requires a little patience

It depends on what you prefer, but Silk Touch is the first one to apply (unless you're looking to get seeds). I preferred to put Silk Touch I, Efficiency II, and Unbreaking II. Keep in mind that the fewer levels of Unbreaking, the more cobblestone you'll need for repairs. Since it only starts breaking instantly at Efficiency V, I chose to go with 2 levels of Efficiency and 2 of Unbreaking at first. It also depends on the size of your farm (or the size you plan to build). Since my farm yields 15M per harvest, it was worth it for me to add Unbreaking; otherwise, I'd need to gather a LOT more cobblestone for constant repairs

At the moment, I'm not going to add any more enchantments to my axe, as it's already good the way it is (I use 7 stacks of cobblestone to harvest the entire farm (~7200 watermelons))

Make a column of spawners with fence gates around them (9x9), then just enclose the fence gates and spawners with the block of your choice, so the mobs won’t escape. If you want to kill them by fall damage, just place the spawners/fence gates at a height sufficient to kill the mob with the most health. If you want to kill them manually, you’ll need to adjust the height of each spawner

Just fill this entire area with fence gates (the wood represents the spawner). Do this for each spawner. And, of course, this setup should be at a high altitude, not on the ground. But if you're feeling lazy, just do it like in the second image (the wood blocks represent the spawners)
