The cacti do grow when ur offline, they just dont grow more then twice

As they only officially grow while you're on the island

And cacti can only grow to 3 tall

Cacti do not update there growth state offline. They end the timer for the first growth but they don't physically grown until the player comes back online

Which is why it only grows to 2, not 3

I am working on a huge cactus farm in spawn island rn, and the afk part makes it rellevant further on

Actually no

You only need 500k to pass desert, once you passed desert then both farms become completely irrelevant

So it's about relevance at the time of that quest, cocoabeans can do it in 2 harvests with an easy to build farm, cocoa also has a higher money/hour/plant than cacti. Basically since the quest can be done in 1-2 hours, there's no point to afk because the amount of money you get from either farm gets completely trumped by the next money farm on the list

And I don't have a cocoafarm, I'm one the top players, and the main technical player here which designs the endgame farms

On island 6 you produce melons for money with silk touch +fortune (they work together on sb), this preps you for the next island where you can farm pigs for 150mil per hour

Which is way faster than cacti could ever do due to the item entity cap on cc sb

btw, this is the fastest money progression, we use it in speedruns

There's 1 test that could make or break the farm

Does the exp orb despawn timer reset when combined

If it does then you could farm for aslong as you like, then as soon as you want to stop, you can stop swinging, and wait for 2 minutes for one gigantic orb to come up to the player

Which would contain every witherskeletons kill within that time period
