The pigspawners then can either be kept like they are or get replaced by creeperspawners

It is really depending on at what stage of the game you are. Early game fishing is the best way to gather xp, especially on java since here you can make an auto fishfarm. Also smelting and mining lapis is a great source of xp at this point.
Then you start unlocking hostile mobs (skeletons, zombies, creepers, pigmans)
These high level mobs can be used to make a mob grinder.

End game:
-On a budget, if you’re on a budget it is best to get high level creepers or wither skeletons. And make a dropdown of 200 blocks for these.
-Best money to xp ratio, a good money to xp strategy are quartz gens. These regenerate, in only a short amount of time and give good xp for the price you would buy them for.
-FASTEST xp making method, the fasted xp making method to my knowledge is diamond generators. They drop the most xp per ore but also cost the most. In only 60 seconds you are able to get 120 levels.

I'll explain, the speed of which some higher pigs fall. The velocity of the pigs is changing so fast that the server can't keep up, but the server needs to so it keeps correcting the position, sometimes this corrected position can fly straight through the lava. It's a server issue.

Even with like 5 layers of lava some will get through

Get ad many pigspawners as possible, then farm fatm farm til 864, and then think if you need creepers, if yes youll have to use creepers for at least 100 hours to be worth it aka it repaying itself

You can also start earlier to farm for creepers but finishing the pigs first just feels better
