Why is that?

Okay so I don’t usually talk on discord servers, but my partner and I have a really funny story to tell. And to begin, I’ll just say, we weren’t thinking one bit during the entirety of this story.

So, my partner and I have just finished the 9th island in the overworld and are doing some of the quests, one being “Trophy Hunter” or something like that, where you get 2 creeper heads, 2 skeleton heads and 2 zombie heads. My partner and I kept dying and he suggested we used TNT to blow up the mobs we didn’t need, little did I know that TNT blew up spawners but no other blocks. So we ended up just losing $45.5mil Skyblock Coins (creeper=$40mil, skeleton=$5mil, zombie=$500k). So we grinded to get another Zombie and Skeleton spawner so I got the skeleton spawner, he got the zombie, and he went up to the creeper farm to get another creeper spawner, and well, I pitched the idea of him throwing them down to me through the creeper farm which is basically free fall just so we can watch creepers and witches die basically and do no work to collect gunpowder and other items. And well, we forgot that water makes items go really far in mid air. I looked up, realised that the spawners were going right over my head and towards the void. I started laughing as I didn’t know what to do and my brain just turned off. I watched them fall into the void, another $40.5mil just going into the void. And my partner was like “what’s so funny?” And I couldn’t stop laughing and I just looked into the void and he screamed “no, you’re joking, open you’re inventory” and so in total we lost $86mil skyblock coins in a matter of 5 minutes since we didn’t have to do much to get $5.5mil the first time. But I couldn’t stop crying with how hard I was laughing at our stupidity.

You just have to wait for them to spawn. My partner made a creeper farm where they die once hitting the ground and all we had to do was shoot the charged creeper once and when it hit the ground we got the kill.

Fencegate method

Basically use open fencegates for the mobs to spawn on so they instantly fall, and just let pigs fall through a lava blade and then to their death

No water what so ever

Water pushers just slow down the mobs which means they'll not detach from the spawner quick enough (since unlike vanilla, mobs won't detach from their spawner until they die on cc)

Basically it's a game of how fast can they go from spawning to death, they have ~3 seconds to obtain the highest cycle

After that is achieved you have to max out spawn space

Mine has ~97-98% spawn efficiency

Make a pig farm and put lava near the bottom, so it burns the pig and cook the pork and u can sale that, make sure the spawners is level 1 OR make a hostile mob dropper and sale the thing, I am pretty sure there is other one but these one are somewhat the fastest
