Your nether and overworld aren't in the same world, they won't link to the correct coordinates, it'll always send you to your nether spawn point

If it sent you to the correct coords. We could easily break the game

its not a renderdistance thing, if your farm is over 127 blocks they should not spawn either way so theres a chance they are getting stuck somewhere also a 1x2 drop tunnel is not that effective the mobs can push against each other and make it hard to drop.
