Spawners work differently on skyblock. They can spawn on everything except for air blocks, they can spawn in a 9x9x3 area and can be horizontally 32 blocks away from the player and vertically infinite away from the player unless it's hostiles which is 127

Mobs also link to the home spawner that it spawned from rather than mobs linking within the vicinity of a spawner like in regular minecraft

The best spawner design if your curious is something called pillared fencegate method

No quests before iron require iron. If it's the snow golem quest then you need a carved pumpkin from the blocks section of the shop. If you need to dye armour then use the crafting table, it uses java style dying on both versions for sb

Also the suffocation bug is a low importance bug. They will fix other bugs over it
