I dont understand the boosts from vip and from the optimizer. All in all it should cut out more than half the time so say i have a crop for 4 hours like carrots, should cut it to less than 2 hours. And yet every time i go to check it again the estimated time remaining is always just under half of the unboosted time remaining which doesnt make sense since if unboosted time remaining on carrots reached 2 hours rhen shouldnt my crop be done since its boosted? But no its only showing that boosted time is still just under half so it only shows its just under 1 hour.

Which makes me think that all this stuff about being boosted is just pretty talk but doesnt actually work

It is % based however if the reduced time keeps getting updated every time that the unboosted time ticks down then theoretically even if its a 90% boost it would be negligible in the long run because the 90% wouldnt really apply till the last second since the initial reduced time doesnt stay constant

What im getting at is that if the reduced time at the start is 2 hours, then the 2 hours should stay locked in should it not? Provided the boost remains active throughout the entirety of the grow time

I think ive figured it out. The way they protray it is misleading however the boost is still there. It seems that the unboosted time counts down faster when theres a boost active instead of having a 1:1 second ratio

This is due to the optimiser boost not always lasting as long as the crop growth time

All an all, it still only takes 2hrs for carrots, there is no difference in changing how it works. It'll be the exact same

You need to first make sure they aren't scared (walk like 30 blocks away), start crouching and crouch towards them until they see you and hold a fish in your hand, let them slowly approach you and when they get close enough try and tame them. This doesnt work 100% of the time, but it will work eventually
