Sweeping edge requires your sword have max cooldown. With the amount of mobs you hit, you only do 4 health (2 hearts) with the mob armor this gets reduced to either 1 or 2 health. This means the cooldown would be much slower than your spam since the back pay would require you to do 20-40 hits to get all previous mobs in the chamber at 1 swing every 0.625 seconds, While a bedrock person can easily swing 10+ hits per second. 0.625x20= 12.5 seconds vs 4 seconds from spam hit
