Correct me if I'm wrong but protection 7 on all 4 pieces of armour should provide full damage immunity since the equation for protection is damagereduction% = 4xlevel%. That over 4 pieces is 28x4%= 112% damage reduction

Infact 1 7 and 3 6s should do it at 100% reduction

Ah but that isn't the case. Once you reach 80% any extra % would be ignored meaning anything over prot 5 on diamond armor is useless

basically, its not down to the worth of 1 item, its down to the worth of 1 item relative to how much you can produce in a relative time with relative ease. 3 different stats that goes into a money farm design. now the problem with cyan wool carpet is not only is it not relativey easy to make it in huge quantities since you need multiple spider spawners while also not having hoppers so you cant afk them but you cant afk your cactus farm either meaning that you have to be constantly flicking between 2 farms while with a cocobean farm you only have to use water to harvest every 40 mins (takes about 5 mins max for a big one). you also have the fact that you have to go through the smelting of cacti which costs extra time and go through multiple crafting steps just to get to your final product effectively making cyan carpet as a money farm worthless

While you are getting cactus, you can get strings, spider eye and exp. Meanwhile, you can get some coal (converting ot into block) and 1 stack of lapislazuli. Then, when you have one extra cactus, harvest it and melting. While melting you can kill some more spiders or convert all strings on wool. Then take the green and blue dry, convert it into cyan dry and convert everything all into carpet.
