For Pig spawner if u don't want xp the u can make 7x7 box with as much height as u want and put the spawner in the middle also make the base with hopper for item collection , now place water from the top and make sure only the top blocks r source blocks

Also with greater spawner level the mob's level and health increases so a fixed height for a skyscraper can be found by trail and error and if u don't want to repeatedly change the height then don't increase the spawner level

Its more that with armour there is a variable that is added to that equation, which depends on the tier of armour

At most that variable exceeds triple fall height needed (from diamond armour)

Iron is roughly 2x

Chain is 1.75

Gold is 1.5

Leather is 1.3
