Do You have the beacon next to the border? You only need 9 beacons to cover the entire map. If you put next to the edge you will need more. They cover 50 blocks in every direction.

In my opinion I would just stick it out until you can progress, I believe you get melons next which will invalidate a coco farm shortly after. You get more from them and there easier to harvest being that you don’t need to painstakingly replant the crop each time
