I threw away the cow spawner to simulate the scenario so the money consisted of almost entirely potato farming. Since I started from the literally very beginning you could probably shave off a third of that time since that guy probably had an established farm by that point. So roughly 40 to 45m at that stage, if I were to lose a spawner from my point in the game it would take real life days to get it back, so my point stands.

But how would I improve it. I’ve been experimenting with passive spawners on MCBE, and they can’t spawn in air. They have to be on a platform that is with two blocks up or down from it. I placed each layer level with the spawner which mb compacts it, and doesn’t lose any efficiency. From my experimentations, there can only be four mobs spawned per Spawner at one time, and a dozen or so tick intervals. This farm meets those requirements and I have no idea how I could improve it.

I think the extremity of the glowstone quests is overhyped, they seem like some of the easier tree quests

With my current fortune level I get an average 125 glowstone per tree. So 4 trees is 1k. If I'm not mistaken there's 5k, 10k? 25k, 50k. And 75k quests for glowstone. So 165k total since I get 1k from four trees we do 4x165 which is 660. So 660 trees total. Each tree only takes 1 to 2 minutes to mine, let's say 90 seconds per tree. 90x660 is 59,600 seconds, divide by 60 and you get 990, or 16 and a half hours. (Keep in mind that's for ALL the glowstone quests.) There are numerous ways this time can be decreased such as efficency or higher fortune. and they only take 4h to grow, so you could do multiple harvests per day. Now look at the tree quest I am currently doing which is acacia Grove, I need 20k logs. I have a layout of 500 trees. They take 30h to grow, they give me roughly 4k per harvest, (there's quite a lot of room for discrepancy, though that is pretty generous.) so I need to do that 5 times, it takes me probably 3 to 4h to mine the 500 trees once, (I admit I used mainly plain stone axes for most of it, so that'll add a bit of time.) and I have to wait 30h between each harvest. Meaning 15h to 20h of manual chopping, over the course of week, keep in mind this is ONE quest. The glowstone with a layout of just 165 trees could be done over the course of a couple days. (Or even a day if you are committed enough) There's a lot of individuality involved in these calculations. But you get my point.
