By its nature, skyblock is supposed to be a game that should be constantly updated, the problem is that they think that each update should bring a new dimension, you can add more content by simply adding more side quests, hidden quests, more islands to the existing dimensions (instead of a completely new dimension). Add things to the Skyblock hub, like a mob arena, weekly quests, etc... There are many ways to add content if you don't feel like making a new dimension because it's 'complex'

The problem is, Nether doesn’t have a lot of content in Minecraft to add new islands with interest things, but they can add more things to overworld, the can easily add other 9 islands, like ocean (with guardians), icy peaks (with strays and polar bears), a mushroom islands, etc
