So I was farming slimes by dropping them down onto a platform where I would kill the smaller ones by hand

Thing is, this platform was a huge one that also contained my carrot farm, a little further away

Little did I know, some slimes made their way to my carrot farm and got me good. I was farming slimes for quite a while, then turned my attention to carrots. I farmed my surface level carrots first, then I went down to my bottom platform carrots, only to find absolute carnage

My screenshot doesn’t even nearly encompass all the damage the slimes did

The platform is a lot bigger than it looks (I fell through the water because it’s 1 block deep,, decided to get a screenshot before I died)

Meaning all cactus would break at the same time causing lag and the item limit would kick in if a large farm is built. A small one is good for having a constant supply of cactus as you'll need this for quests.
