Asia is a pretty big continent, you might just be far away from the server. You might also be paired with players from other regions because of the lower population of Asian players. Those are just guesses though as I’ve never played in Asia so I wouldn’t know

You could also be right though, the servers in NA aren’t always the best either

Java is definitely far from perfect though I agree. Eggwars just isn’t fun to play, and would need to be revised to work with the 1.9 combat mechanics. It’s definitely more suitable for bedrock, which is a lot closer to the old 1.8 system albeit still very different.

Skywars is definitely still very fun on Java though, that still works well.

Cubecraft and legacy are the only really good ones, although legacy players are usually pretty laggy and the server is always maxed out

So cubecraft is much more enjoyable to play on, as long as you mute the chat as there are a ton of toxic players

You can combo on java? Just because you're not good at it doesn't mean no one can. I tried out bedrock and couldn't combo because it relied mostly on cps which I'm not that good at compared to java which more based on movement and timed hits. Both versions are very skill based.

I’ve been making a bunch of (mostly pvp based) game modes using datapacks and command blocks to play with some friends, if I were to record gameplay and upload it on the forums as suggestions do you think cubecraft would add the mode with enough support? I thought it would be an interesting idea as I don’t believe a lot of the current ones fit 1.9 combat too well.

I don’t know if they will though, as they like parity and I don’t feel as though some of them would work too well on bedrock.

For points duels is the best for me because I can get a lot of wins super fast and they rack up pretty quickly, but skywars is great for both cubelets and points

A lot of achievements give cubelets as well, and the lantern hunt and hidden chests usually give a bunch as well if pvp games aren’t your style.

The player count on CubeCraft was relatively high well into the 1.9 era, but Minecraft as a game declined for a while and so did CubeCraft. Regarding the obvious outlier today, that being Hypixel, CubeCraft on Java is still one of the largest servers Minecraft Java servers 🙂
