1.9 added a PvE mechanic. I think people need to realize Minecraft is a Survival game not PvP (it’s labeled as an RPG because it’s a roleplaying game. Not pvp because servers are not the main part)

And servers can create plugins in 1.9 to disable the swing delay and fix damage on weapons to change the fighting mechanics
