I’ve noticed how animals tend to just roam in a very small area rather than across the map, regarded of whether they are fenced in or not. This isn’t a huge issue for 99% of the time as the animals will be in enclosures.

However we know that breakouts are planned, and it would be more challenging to have to deal with a tyrannosaur that’s more likely to roam across the entire map than just near where it broke out.

It would also be a great way to add diversity, to make some animals prefer a smaller range, and some animals naturally want to constantly move around.

Exactly, something like an Edmontosaurus would want to roam about the map, whereas something like a Triceratops may be more comfortable in a small area

These two just as examples

But could add another factor to breakouts and enclosure management

In an enclosure too small an animal would want to break out more

Yes! I was thinking the same thing, especially since crowding is an aspect. If it gets too crowded, a lot of species, younger males leave the group and go off on their own. Sometimes both young females and males, so around breeding season if there was overcrowding it might also make sense for juveniles about to become adults to try and break out as well

And don't make them just swim in one place all the time 😭😭😭
